I just received a lovely little gem :) What could possibly be served by spouting such hatefulness and anger? It surely can't be healthy for the spirit.
"From: Chosen by Grace
Subject: STOP HATING WHOEVER DISAGREES WITH YOU BIGOT
Message: Athée StarChildVT: edit: a lot of hate coming from this person who's been "chosen by grace"...
1. Hatred of slander and lies against the truth.
2. What is your evidence that hatred is evil in and of itself? If it is, you are all evil for hating me and insulting me.
3. Why didn't you say "edit: a lot of hate coming from Timothy Sitts" or anyone else who insults a Christian? Stop being a hateful biased self-righteous hypocritical bigot."
The thing that sent this person into a frenzy was a comment I made about his attacks over people's choices in spending/donating 60 billion dollars. Oh, and for good measure, I've been blocked. Thank you, "chosen by grace", for your excellent lesson in love and compassion. :)

RoChEr, true. It is perhaps wrong of me to expose this person. However, I think if people want to be jerks, they might as well do it in front of eveyone and not hide behind an e-mail function.

Let the hate mail be like water on a duck's back. It is just words by hateful and immature people.

It's so much easier to just tell someone you hate them isn't it? I mean spreading love is just the toughest thing in the world for people to do!
Life feels so much better when hate doesn't fill it up. I would urge this person to purge this hate and find a worthwhile hobby (not Yahoo! Answers).

Moon Dear...
The problem with this person stands as one of two things, as does most of the so-called "Christian hate mail"...
1. It is either a troll.
or...
2. It is a Christian who is very spiritually immature in the faith. You will find that in the instance of Christians who do such things as sending "hate mail", or posting "hateful" responses, it is because they have either...
a.) Never experienced a true conversion, and are still in a state of not being "regenerated", and simply talk the talk only.
or...
b.) Are still clinging to the ways of the flesh, and have refused to repent, and walk in the way of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In most instances, you will find choice "b" to be the predominant answer.
The Apostle Paul addressed such folks when he said...
1 Corinthians 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able."
In the above passage, the folks addressed there, are unable to fully understand the two great commandments the Lord gave...
Matthew 22:37-39 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Those people that are still being fed with the "milk of the Word" are by no means able to preach, teach, or exhort others in the Word of God...
Hebrews 5:13 "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe."
The best thing to do for them is to quote those verses I have written here, and explain to them that they are not spiritually ready to interact with the general public in their immature state. And suggest to them that they spend a few years in the Word, and then return here to Y!A, where they can be a "true and faithful" witness for Christ Jesus

I think their hate comes from the fact that they believe a religion that contradicts reality and they know it. And they are contradicting themselves. Such neurosis leads to self hate, and then hate for others.
Theism as a neurosis.

I'm sorry but your sarcasm in that last sentence really made me laugh.....anyways I've received not so nice things from people I just move on unless it really makes me mad, then I'll send them a few "choice words" and block them. :) Very ironic that her name is chosen by grace though...

I think they do it because they're not totally happy with themselves & because you said something that they couldn't stand up to. I get alot of negative responses because of my avatar, but it's not going to make me change it............we need to just be who we are & the rest can suffer.

I think it's their own momentary satisfaction. They would be wise to remember the following:
"What goes around, comes around".
"You reap what you sow".
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".
