David was also refered to as the "Son of God." Does that mean we have to worship David too? What if God had MORE kids. Do we have to worship them ALL??

All Bible citations should be from the OLD TESTAMENT to prove it prophetic

Later in that same verse, it says the Messiah will be a decendent of David. How can God be someone's decendent. And how can Jesus be David's decendent if Mary was a virgin?

It doesn't. The Hebrew Scriptures never mention the Messiah being divine. It's very clear that he is a human. A special human, but a human nonetheless. In fact, according to Judaism, the idea of God taking human form is blasphemous.

Issiah 9:6 has been twisted and corrupted so much by translators with their own agenda.

here is a proper way to translate this verse.

For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, "the prince of peace."

First, David was never referred to as "Son of God". Where did you ever see that?

Now, to your question. As Andre noted above...

A Child is to be born as a man who will be the Mighty God.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

PLUS!

Jehovah says that He and the coming Redeemer are eternal.
Isaiah 44:6
"Thus says YHWH, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer [Yeshua], the YHWH of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.'"

Again, Who is the Redeemer? Who is the Savior? YHWH.
Isaiah 49:26
"All flesh shall know That I, YHWH, am your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."

Before He was born, Jesus identified the trinity.
Isaiah 48:16
"Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His SPIRIT Have sent ME."

This will answer the question you have about Jesus being The Christ (Messiah).

As for your question about worshiping David. That answer is very clearly spelled out in the words (have no others before me and do not worship idols). He calls those who believe in Him (His Children and Companions). Logically speaking there is can only be One Eternal G-d, He is the Only Creator.

Edit:

“Later in that same verse, it says the Messiah will be a descendent of David. How can God be someone's descendent? And how can Jesus be David's descendent if Mary was a virgin?”

Jesus the Christ is a descendant of David because in the Jewish customs this is determined through the mother. Even today, IF your mother is Jewish and your father isn’t – you are Jewish – because of your mother. Mary became pregnant through and by the Power of G-d. He brought about himself within human form. Back in the OT we are told that He is also known as Elohim – that signifies that G-d is Trinity. Elohim is a Hebrew plural name for Him – in other words, He is (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) but the one and same G-d. Through His magnificent power of being the Father, He Created all things.

By way of His putting on human flesh, suffering, dying, and raised again; He gave us The Way to salvation. Through His use of His mighty Spirit, He is able to move among us and sustain all things. These are His ‘natures, duties, and abilities’. All of that makes Him capable of bringing about life, by His Holy and Perfect Will. Jesus the Christ was and has always been a “part” of G-d, this is told to us in the words of Genesis “Let “us” make man in “our” image”. That simply means that just as Jesus the Christ put on flesh, we have flesh. He suffered through hardships, we do also. He is a mirror of our fleshly life on this Earth. The Spirit is giving to us also, by way of our eternal souls.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were in perfect harmony physically and spiritually with G-d. But when they decided to have knowledge of good and evil that put them outside of spiritual perfection. When they disobeyed a simple commandment, G-d banished them from His Physical Presence – but told them of the coming Messiah that would reconcile that relationship. This way, He makes sure we are able to be spiritually connected to Him again. Adam and Eve were told by G-d about the redeemer of man.

Isaiah 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

that's the first verse that pops into my head...

Actually, it says the Messiah will have two human parents, but don't tell the Christians, they will try to find a way to show you that virgin birth and a human "father" can somehow all make sense for one kid...

Andre: Thank you for that verse! It is particularly wonderful to show those who deny Christ's diety!

Blessings to you!
