It's okay to have whatever piece of jewelry you want as long as you acquire it legally. It's referred to as "Christian jewelry" because Christians are the main group who are into the abstinence movement. I'm certain that if you are from another faith, want to be abstinent and to have a ring to commemorate that, there's nothing wrong with you wearing one.

If you've decided to practice abstinence, there's no reason that you cannot wear a piece of jewelry that symbolizes it. There are no rules about those sorts of things.

The purity rings have a Bible reference inscripted on them.

You could consider just getting a plain silver ring somewhere, but you might be mistaken for Christian unless it had a markedly different design. Perhaps one with personal meaning for you...?

Why do you need a ring for that? Either refrain or don't. It's completely up to you.

I don't see anything wrong with it, but all that really matters is what you think.
