Or are the willfully ignorant about reality?
Anyone who would ignore the mountains of evidence and peer-reviewed research done by thousands of Scientists the world over, is either totally brain washed, or has been thoroughly brainwashed.
These are people that ignore science and instead cling to myths and fairy tales. How pathetic is that?

Ah lolipop,
such an excellent example of pious fraud. I could not have written it better myself.
When I spoke about "willful ignorance" I did'nt think I'd get a first hand example, yet here you are.
Bravo.

zoobrenok,
Yet another example of willful ignorance. The bible is a book of mythology. The more we study archaeology and anthropology (you're talking to someone with a Masters degree in Physical Anthropology here buddy) the more we realize that the bible is nothing but bunk.
Some of the place descriptions are SO bad that it's clear that the writers had never been there.
So much for your pathetic theory.

...Creationist Museum...

Need I say more?

Edit:
And the award for the stupidest statement of the day goes to.... lollipop.

Why would someone major in biology if they reject evolution?

That would be like someone going for a medical degree, but not wanting to deal with sick people.

If you really understand science, you know that scientific paradigms shift all the time. Evolutionary theory itself has had to evolve, because the ways people used to think evolution worked, turned out to be false. The theories of evolution we have now are not the same as Darwin's original theory. There could conceivably be a time when future discoveries force further changes, to the point where it's really "evolution" in name only.

A real scientist understands that a theory is something that has *not* been proven beyond a doubt. Rather, it's a theoretical framework that is based on data discovered to date, but has yet to be proven.

If it was considered ignorant or foolish to question theories, then Copernicus would never have come up with his theory about the earth revolving around the sun. There is always stubborn resistance when people challenge the existing paradigm. That's why it takes courage to do it, and why real progress in science is often a struggle. You have to go where the data takes you, and sometimes it takes you places you don't want to go.

What i dont understand is why intelligent design people keep harping on the fact that evolution is just "a THEORY (also see above)." They obviously have no knowledge of the definition of the word theory in a scientific context which is something that is held true beyond a reasonable doubt. If they can execute someone on this criterion then i dont see why you can so easily dismiss this theory. Other theories such as the Theory of Plate Tectonics and the Theory of Gravitation are widely accepted by the masses.

I've observed a that it's a mixed response. Some are actually convinced that because it's "only a theory" it hasn't complied enough data for testing or it's still just a guess or it isn't commonly agreed upon by those who would know. They choose to think that a theory isn't substance enough to believe since they are so very confused by their own understanding of what depth a theory represents. Others are just in total denial of the truth. They're the hard heads. And, of course, there are the rest, those who are totally and completely sheep and to dumb to know anything better than to simply follow the odors of whatever flocks infront of them.

Cupcake they are willfully ignorant about EVERYTHING. Don't narrow it down to this.
Sidenote: I speak of the fundamentalist that "choose" what they believe and then scream how "right" they are and how "wrong" the rest of the world is. Pharisee anyone?

And another one lies. Lollipop scientists disagree how it happened and not that it happened. Not only that but how could you EVER get into biology/medicine and not believe in evolution. Ever hear of DNA or organ transplants?

That is a link for the asker since no one could provide evidence for evolution being false.

two points for you.
1. was Adam hungry right after God made him? - if he was not, then God supplied important items into his body right away.
2. scientists ASSUME that climate on this planet was the same all the time and that they can PREDICT how it changed over time. this is a mistake. we DO know that climate was different, and no evolution model takes that type of climate into consideration. Genesis says that before flood water was coming from earth up, and there were no rain. All these tools they use to say how old is something - they assume there were no change in how molecules behave somewhere in past. Hope makes sense :)

There is more:DNA shows we are all coming from same ancestors somewhere in time of Noah.

Additionally, if you go around and every story in Bible is confirmed by archaeological evidences (even destruction of egyptian army in red sea), how can you assume that creation story is not right? - you need to find at least one other discrepancy first.

To be honest I could care less about if it is true or not. I don't really care if micheal jackson from the 70's evolved to what he is today. I really don't care if the fish grew legs. I know what I feel in my heart and that is and alway will be the only thing that will ever matter to me.

Yes... well, "relativity" is just a THEORY too...

...but tell that to those thousands of people in Hiroshima & Nagasaki.
