Christians what is the difference between confidence and arrogance? I am going on a job interview and in the past I have been anxoius and nervous and not made eye contact and I have had very little confidence. I need employment and have a hard time "selling myself" I have posted so many resumes and been on at least 7 interviews and I feel "whipped" and at times rejected. My question is how do you get godly confidence so that I can obtain a job?

Pride and confidence are 2 different things.
God doesnt make junk.
You are just as good as anyone else in this world.
God has not given you a spirit of fear.
Arrogance is when you knock someone down and then step on them.
Confidence is looking people in the eye, not looking down at the ground.
Look up to the heavens, not down to hell.
An employers wont hire a person who cant smile, lookthem in the eye, shake hands and pull themselves together.
just tell yourself that it doesnt matter if you get the job or not.
that it is just a conversation between you and a stranger.
pretend that you are shopping for furniture. ask questions.
they always ask your strenght and your weakness.
have an answer ready.
never diss your former boss.
do you have good references?
call back after interviews. send thank you notes for the interview, it works.

Confidence? Arrogance? It doesn't matter... If you are a Christian, go into that job interview having faith in God. Don't forget that he has your back. Do not be afraid to look someone in the eye, give a Strong handshake, or list things that you are good at. If that is the right job for you, you will get it.

Remember You can do anything in Christ Jesus. Lay your problems at his feet. This includes nerves, fears and anxiety.

This is a tricky dilemma, a well study subject. Both Yes and No from what I have noticeable. Confidence can come from whatever, even foolish matters like "my dad is a wealthy guy", "my sexual organ is so enormous", or matters you no longer detect, and so forth. and so forth. My past due grandfather is a self-theist, he has trust that's inseparable with conceitedness and lack of expertise. He is aware of of gods and spirits however positioned no religion in them, he does not want them. I no longer recognise so much of your social anxiousness ailment, I have that too routinely. Sometimes, we be first-rate, well mannered and tender to folks and get reverse in go back. We recognise we're proper however folks shout at us and we do not shout again on account that we're first-rate, it resolved our "drive". If this occur very most commonly, it explanations disorders. (If they controlled to provoked my Armageddon part, they are going to remorse being borned however that would possibly not clear up matters proper) Unless we're so forged within. As if powerful wind blowing onto forged mountain, as though moonlight shinning upon significant ocean. Religion train would possibly support routinely. Empowerment and light-weight from above into our hearts, disperse the darkness inside. We categorical the empowerment by way of our movements, trust will look. Since I am a Vajra Buddhist, I can observe tantras and enchantments, spin chakras, meditate. Christian can use prayers. Gain and lose can influence trust. A wealthy man misplaced cash, his trust fade and he kills himself. If his trust is in his capacity to earn cash alternatively than cash itself, then he would possibly not. If your prayers don't seem to be replied, will you continue to have trust? Relax and take it effortless. A powerful middle is what we want, do not burden it an excessive amount of routinely, haha.

Arrogance is when you assume a position of authority or superiority which is not yours to take.

It is different from confidence.

Interviews are tough. Usually the managers have a specific "type" they are looking for. You have to figure out what that type is, then discern if you can be, and if you want to be, that type.

Good to see you again out here. I'll pray for your job.

The best thing to do right now is pray, pray that He would fill you with the Holy Spirit so that you would have godly confidence, and not look cocky. Remember that He will always come at the last minute, so that you will always know it is Him. I know this from personal experience.

Good Luck, and may the LORD be with you on your interview, and always,

Make sure you are dressed right for the job you are interviewing for...be prepared to answer any question the interviewer may ask and leave the rest up to God....you just simply put the results in the hands of God...the bible says, to lay your burdens at the feet of Jesus....picture yourself doing that just before the interview...."Let go and let God"...still a good saying.

Well if you feel whipped and rejected, I think you will hardly be perceived as arrogant. Just be honest, explain your strengths, and don't mention your weaknesses. For instance I always say one of my strengths is diligence, I don't give up on the task at hand. Hence the subtext is that I may not be as good as anyone else, but I try.

Christians aren't the only people with confidence. Being arrogant is pretty much the rude way of being confident. As long as you're not coming off rude and, well, arrogant, you're fine.

Arrogant is thinking that you need to convert the world to think just like you do.
Confident is knowing you can do what you say you can.
Oh, I am not a Christian, but I do have an opinion..

Go through what you're going through a few times and learn from your mistakes. It's painful while it's happening, but sometimes that's the way we learn things.
