S-video/TV-out (NTSC/PAL) port?

Question

connect S-video cable to tv {which has built-in VHS and dvd players)

can this be used to burn a vhs tape on tv to a dvd on lptop??

if not, how to burn vhs from built-in vhs deck on tv, to dvd on lptop??

Use the Audio + Video out from the TV (if it has them) and connect to a PC video encoder.

Mine is a Pinicale USB version that has composite and SVideo in and it works well.
