What do you mean "how to train a 3 year old pug"? Train it to do what? Where did you get it?

is your dog trained at all? no matter the breed,3 yrs old is a little late to begin training. you will have to overcome bad habits as well as instill good ones. pugs are usually pretty smart,so i would begin rewarding good behavior rather than punishing bad behavior. when correction is necessary,be prompt. a firm voice and a swat on the butt should be sufficient. never toss a pug outside in the heat for long(people have been known to throw their dog out for hours as punishment) as it is hard on their breathing. many times older dogs learn quicker than puppies because they have a better attention span. be consistent and soon you will have a well trained dog. good luck
