It won't hurt much at the instant of impact, because your body is on a lot of adrenaline and goes into shock as a defense mechanism.

However, a couple hours later, it really hurts like BLAZES, like several knives stabbing you from the inside out.

When you get the cast on, the worst of that particular pain goes away, mostly, but it's still not pleasant because your arm itches like crazy under the cast as it's healing and you have no way to scratch it, and you have to endure that for several weeks.

So don't break your arm, not a pleasant experience!

It depends on the break, and the pain tolerance of the person. A little known fact is that sprains actually hurt MORE than breaks. Typically, people believe that if you aren't in excruciating pain then you can't possibly have a broken bone, but this is a misconception. It is very possible to break a bone without having a lot of pain.

If you're a person who has a high tolerance for pain breaking a bone may not phase you at all, if you're a person with a low tolerance for pain, breaking a bone could be uncomfortable.

Pain will also depend on the bone itself, and the break. For instance, a compound fracture will hurt a lot because in this case the bone snaps in half and pops through the skin, leaving the patient needing surgery to repair the bone with pins, and suture the holes left in the skin.

Well I simply gave beginning nine months in the past. I began having contractions at residence till I could not take it not more. I went to the clinic and I was once five cm dialated. I mentioned I did not wish the epideral until I rather wanted it. As time went on I simply could not take the anguish. I requested for an epideral at the moment I was once 7-eight cm dialated. After that I did not think a factor. I felt my child pop out and them sewing me reason i did tear a bit however handiest obtained 2 stitches. each exertions is special. To me the worst side is after phrases. My vagina was once sorer I could not even sit down down, and I obtained a horrible headache from the epideral I simply desired to head residence. So to me I could as a substitute pass via the exertions rather of feeling the anguish after giving beginning. But on the other hand I are not able to tolerate anguish an excessive amount of and others can.

I recently had quite a severe break of my wrist in 3 places and needed surgery, I can tell you it hurt like hell I nearly passed out from the pain. Although I have known someone to fracture their arm and not even know it.

Hmm... I should know, I broke my Arms 5 times. Once, botha rms at the same time, sprained my wrist 2 and ankle but yea, lets just say i was screaming all the way to the doctors.

Actually, it doesn't hurt that bad. I mean, as not as bad as a sprain or anything. If it's compound and has to be set back into place, THEN it's a screamer.
