Who thinks a certain someone's Lhasa Apso will get fat because she was spayed?

This is a JOKE- someone has asked like 30 times now if her dog will get fat because she was spayed.

Yep, I think it is going to get HUGE!!!
So big that the poor thing won't fit in the house anymore.

Oh this has been passed down for years. My roommate had a jerk of a dog that got a severe bladder/pee infection and the vet recommended neutering him. She didn't want to neuter him because "neutered dogs get fat". I told her, no neutered dogs don't get fat, overfed underexercised dogs get fat.
My poor Lucky - he's so skinny (been neutered for 2 years now), people think he's a girl dog!! Poor guy.

just because an animals spayed does not mean it will get fat.
without proper exercise ANY animal will get fat, fixed or not. take the dog out for lots of walks and play time. don't over feed it. those two things alone will help keep the dog healthy.

LOL I thought it was a Shih-Tzu that one of them had! There were 2 of them who were going spastic because they thought their dogs were going to get fat!
Where do people come up with these ideas??????

A dog gets fat because of too much food and not enough activity. It does not get fat because it was spayed/neutered.
