Dear Principal Skinner (or whatever his/her last name),
I've really enjoyed attending ___ Middle School for the past 3 years and the thought of changing schools at this point pains me. I've developed relationships with fellow students and faculty which I do not want to lose etc. etc. etc.....

Hi Shara Mae. Be straight forward and say what you want to say. For example:

Dear Mrs. Johnson,

This is my last year of middle school and I do not want to change schools. (now explain why and then ask for assistance from the principal.)

Best wishes and good luck.

Dear Mr./Mrs./Dr. "so-and-so",

I write to you today...

... and it's probably best that the letter comes from your parents.
