Hey, good on you! Keep on strolling....just be aware that you are likely to have a dip in that mood to come as your body builds a tolerance to your meds. Please don' take this as me putting a downer on your present mood change, that's great and I'm pleased for you, but no med really takes depression/anxiety away. It's just a bandage to help you repair the wound lying under. Some may need these medications for the rest of their lives, but go ahead and ask them if that makes them feel really happy. The answer will be no. Meds help, but they don't address the real problem. Only you can do that now you are feeling calmer and more in control. Good luck, you've taken the first two steps- excepted you had a problem, and got some help, now you have to fix the cause. :)) By the way I'm feeling great at the moment, good old Bob sings in my head: "Don't worry, be happy" or Monty Pythons "Always look on the bright side of life" I take anti-depressants and have done for 2 plus years, but i know i will drop again. It's acknowledging that excepting it and dealing with it, without medication that's the really hard bit!!

Wellbutrin and Lexapro saved my sanity after 20 years of depression and therapy. I remember when the fog started to lift it was like seeing the world for the first time. Everyone was commenting on how much happier I was. It levels out after a while and you might dip off occasionally or need to make some adjustments. Just enjoy thefreedom of feeling good for a change.

Wow, that's great. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will be fine. Keep any appointments with your doctor and be honest with him/her about how you are feeling both physically and mentaly so s/he can adjust your meds as needed.
