MuslimRose, that does not answer my question. What did he do? What makes him so great in your eyes?

No man does anything greater than Jesus.. The Qu'ran agrees Jesus is the Messiah, the word, sinless, Jesus creates life and raises the dead...I'm waiting to see how anyone exceedes the perfection of God. The Muslims say all prophets are equal but none seem able to compare.

Jesus said

"My father is greater than I" John 14:28
"My father is Greater than ALL" John 10:29
"... I cast out devils by the spirit of God......" Mathew 12:28
"....with the finger of God cast out devils........." Luke 11:20
"I can of mine own self do nothing: ...........""

Jesus did not claim divinity - the power is from God (Allah).

Jesus is a prophet just like Mohammad - no one is greater.

If Jesus is greater because he was born miraculously - then Adam is even greater because he has no father no mother.

If you believe Jesus is GOD - wait for HELL FIRE.

Muhammad was a false prophet. He is dead and buried and will one day answer to God for leading so many people astray. Jesus is alive and well and on the right hand of the Father.

edit:
MuslimRose is right. They (peace be upon them) are both Prophets of God (Allah subhana wa ta'ala) and Islam respects all Prophets of God (Allah subhana wa ta'ala). We don't distinguish between them. But yes Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a model of Islam and his role was different to that of Jesus (peace be upon him) in a key way, that he had immense practical family and political responsibilities.

Thomas Carlyle wrote of him:

"How one man single-handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades." "The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad) are disgraceful to ourselves only." "A silent great soul, one of that who cannot but be earnest. He was to kindle the world, the world's Maker had ordered so." -- Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero-Worship'.

Muhammad lead twenty-six battles of war and won them all. http://www.islam.com/chronology.htm

Jesus didnt lead any battles of war, so as for war, Muhammad was greater.

muhammed and jesus both are brothers in one faith , all prophets were for one message which is to direct ppl to worship ONE God with neither partners nor sons ,

we muslims aren't allowed to believe or say which propeht is beeter than who , we believe and love all of them and all of them are our teachers , but prophet muhammed is our model of islam.

Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)."

edit:i answered the first part that he we don't regard one prophet superior to another.

did i answer ur question now?!

hope so.

edit: that guy above :.
most of the wars in islam were for applying justice , slfe of defence , that was the main reason of battles in islam , and he even lived in mekkah for 13 years with no wars and the first one n islam the muslims were around 300 in number and the pagans of mekkah were around 1000 , so how about that ..
When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) finally entered Makkah at the head of a Muslim army in AH 8, he did so not to force the Makkans to convert, but because they had violated their peace treaty with the Muslims. The Prophet entered with great humility, ordering that there should be no fighting or bloodshed. Instead, he forgave all those who had opposed him and the growth of Islam for so many years. Those who wanted to leave were allowed to do so. The whole city, so impressed by the men they had fought against for so long, converted to Islam.

wars and battles have ethics and rules in islam.
The Prophet Muhammad used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children, and he would advise them: {...Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child.}
islam drawn a clear line of distinction between ! combatants & non combatants of ! enemy country ! instruction of propjet muhammed(pbuh) ":don't kill any ld person, any child or any woman, don't kill monks in monasteries ,don't kill ! people who are sitting in places of warship."
also prophet mohammed says :show mercy to those on earth and god will show mercy to u.

peace.
