Isn't it better to serve a God that gave his life for you, instead of a god that demands you give your life for him?
Why would anybody want to serve a god that has to promise virgins to get you to do something for him?
Why would women follow a god that uses them for bait to get men to do what he wants?
Why would women follow a god that promises them nothing aas far as I can tell except slavery as a virgin?

To sweet girl.
Nothing in the bible tells a woman to BLINDLY follow her HUSBAND. If her husband is not following the bible then she shouldn't follow her husband.
An example would be........if the husband told her to rob a bank, have sex with another man, etc.... Those would be good reasons NOT to obey your husband.
If your HUSBAND is a good man, then you have no reason not to follow your husband or obey him because frankly a household has to have a leader and God knows this. Your husband will die for you if he has too, to protect you and the kids from harm.
These days, feminists, have said men are just plain evil. As far as they are concerned, the only good man is a dead man.
If you're having problems finding a good man then stop being a feminist and be a woman who wants a good man, then treat him right and he will die to protect you and treat you better than anything you can get from those who know nothing about good men.

To those that sudjested who I should serve or not serve.
Notice it says (saved1985). I excepted Jesus as my Savior in 1985. I'm surprised you didn't get the gist of this question right. I wasn't asking WHO I should serve. I was asking people WHY they would serve. I was getting them to think about why they would serve a certain kind of god.
Also notice I capitalized God vs. god to show I serve God, not just any god.
As for those that don't believe in God. I feel sorry for you.

Serve the real One - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of the Bible.
The others can't deliver on their promises, if they even offer any.

Very good question. The problem is that people look for other gods/goddesses that will allow them to do what they want to do and not vice versa. Husbands are commanded to submit to God and to treat their wives the way Jesus treats the church. Where in that does it mean a man can abuse his wife. It doesn't.

The only "God" I trust, believe in, and serve, is the God of old fashioned Common Sense, Reason, Logic, and Rationality. This God has served ME extremely well for a good number of years, and I am convinced will continue to do so till my last day of life.

Muslim are Muslims because their governments force them to accept the teachings of Islam and forbid them to even own a Bible under penalty of Death. Well even at that many are becoming believers in the Lord Jesus.

well, why would a supreme being need servants in the first place? seems to me a supreme being could magic her/his/it's desires instantly without the need for some puny groveling human running errands.
the idea of "servants of God" is just a way for the elite high holies to make being a servant more palatable to the gullible masses, a way to get the underclass dumbasses to donate money and labor for the establishment religion for free. a clever con .. make servitude into a desirable ego trip.

The one which brought me to this point and speaks to my heart. I have been promised no virgins, heaven, hell, damnation, or anything else, only natural consequences to my choices and actions. The question and commentary reeks of presumptuousness and narrow-mindedness. I find the deity you promote no more inviting than the one you would belittle.
