I am, but I'm also nervous for my daughter as she's starting secondary school next week. She's really worried about it but I'm sure she'll be fine once she settles in.
I must admit I'm looking forward to it being a bit quieter and no arguing through-out the day. You'd think it'd be easier having a big age gap between kids (11yr old girl 2 1/2yr old boy) but they argue as if they were both little kids.
Roll on Wednesday and Peace an Quiet. (Well a bit quieter anyway!!)

Mine are pre-everything at the moment.
I won't enjoy the huge traffic jams in the morning (parents driving their kids to school so they don't get knocked down by parents driving their kids to school) - but I will enjoy the fact that the little sods won't be bouncing footballs and having screaming competitions until ten o'clock every night.

Not me. I miss my daughter when she's at school and so does my baby girl. Also love not having the school run and packed lunch making etc. Do wish the teens could go back sooner and leave YA to the grown ups ha ha.

I have mixed emotions.
When they were younger, I used to cry when they had to go back to school.
Now that they are teenagers, we are kind of driving each other nuts over the summer. I still feel sad though. I love our time together, crazy or not!
Enjoy your time together. Nothing lasts forever. Except regrets.

When my kids were school age I really loved the holidays. When they grew up I became a teacher and I really loved the holidays. It's called a win win situation!

I'm not. My daughter's school is a judgemental nightmare. The kids are nasty, the parents are ice and the teachers (especially the head) are monsters.
I am dreading her going back there.
