“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:13,14).

Each of the four verses of the majestic hymn, “My Faith Has Found A Resting Place,” repeats the theme that Christ’s blood was shed on our behalf, and it is enough. Nothing else remains to be done. The final verse adds perspective to the other three:

My great Physician heals the sick, The lost He came to save; For me His precious blood He shed, For me His life He gave.

Christ was certainly “the great physician,” for He “went about all Galilee, . . . healing all manner of sickness” (Matthew 4:23). But His ministry was not only to the physically ill, for as He said, God “hast sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives” (Luke 4:18). His mission was a deeper one, that of healing the sin-sickness of the soul. “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Mark 2:17). “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).

As we read in our text, “we have redemption through His blood,” and through His blood alone. As a result, we have “forgiveness of sins,” we are “delivered from the power of darkness,” and we are given a home in “the kingdom of His dear Son.”

And there we will join in singing “a new song, saying, Thou art worthy . . . for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9). He has done it all, and He has done it “for me!”

I need no other argument, I need no other plea, It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me. God Bless!

Well as I am sure you well know, this is a difficult question because Our Lord works in many mysterious ways beyond our understanding. We cannot even usually know what is in our hearts and going on within them. Only God truly knows. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

When we allow God to touch our hearts, to truly reach into our hurts, I think there are a few possible outcomes all of which are determined by both His perfect omniscience as well as His unending benevolence. He may heal that hurt entirely, perhaps in a moment or perhaps over a lifetime. Alternatively He may allow the hurt to remain while giving us strength to endure it. Pain has a role in human existence. First and foremost it is a consequence of sin. We cannot escape it. There is also the aspect of penance, the fact that we owe a recompense to God for our sins. While it is true that Jesus Christ paid entirely for our ransom from sin and death, in union with Him we still suffer and in Him those sufferings have great meaning. God may want the hurt to remain so we can grow, mature and be closer to Him.

Ultimately it is up to Him but either way, those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. When we ask Him to enter into our hurt, He does. Even if the hurt remains, He will be our strength and our help. Jesus never promised us that we'd be free of pain and hurt in this life but He promised us salvation ultimately consummated once this life has passed. Yet with Him we have all the strength and hope we need.

By allowing God to touch our hearts we acknowledge His presence in our lives and by faith we are healed. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." According to Exodus 15:26 Jehovah-rapha is our healer, in other words God is our healer.

Usually peace is the outcome. But it really depends on what it is that you need. God knows best.

Every person has a different experiece. This past weekend a girl at my church was healed of cancer in her ovary (and she can go to the doctor to prove it) and she said that she felt a hand on her abdomen and that God told her that He was healing her. Amazing!!! Pray and have faith...He WANTS to heal u...and He will.

God is not needed for this to happen. Healing is intrinsic throughout nature. Intrinsic in you, intrinsic in me. The flowers, grass and trees heal themselves every spring. Consider the lilies of the field, they do not need to believe in God, yet all they need is provided.
