Hi, you are a Spiritual being inside a physical shell. We are born into this world in order to learn the lessons, and to pass the tests, we need, to become a pure Spirit. When we die, our soul ( spirit ) returns to the Divine Spirit and we are given choices to determine what we will do for the rest of eternity. 1/ Be re-born into a new body and continue to learn our lessons. 2/ If we have reached our ultimate level of purity, we can stay as spirit and guide our loved ones along their path. 3/ If we don't want to stay as spirit, but are wholly pure, we can choose to be re-born and guide our loved ones along their path without them being aware of the fact we have been with them before. Your soul ( spirit ) will not perish or fade away, it is eternal. Take care and keep smiling.

Read Life after Life-- it should be available in libraries and is a study on near death experiences so that you know what truly happens. Some may dispute it, but we will all know the truth when the time comes.

Oh well, you know, something like that.
Jesus sowed us that we are more spirit than body(and it is so true that we say: "my body hurts", but we never say:"my spirit is sad", but we say I am sad). If the body is made of dirt then its elements are to be found anywhere in the universe, and perhaps still in better material and esoteric elements.

With the body we have, say people never die, we still can not live all on Earth!, nor can we travel with this body to another distant planet.

So whether this body dies and you get a new one at resurrection, or we are all changed at the blink of a cataclysmic event.

But those who are dead out of the faith of Christ can not be resurrected because they have not believed.

Another thing is to be understood about the Angels, when Jesus was talking to Angels, and when to men.

Fascinating mysteries ah?!

well everybody that has died and came back even if it was for a few minutes all have explained the same thing. there was beautiful music, people were worshipping a light, there were people that have died before you there, and there was a feeling like they have never felt before. some of them have came in contact with an angel, some with jesus and they all have claimed a giant city with light. one person saw hell when they died and said it was pitch black, and the few shades of light they saw people eating there own skin and it growing back for them to do it all over again. maybe it is like a lucid dream, where you can touch feel and see deceased love ones but it is hard to tell real life from the dreamworld. i think that your brain is the buffer and the "floodgate" to heaven/hell and the world we live in now.

For an excellent (but long) video on this subject, go to:

otherwise read this man's story:

Read also this portion of the Gospel According to Luke:

The Rich Man and Lazarus
19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23In hell,[a] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

You, me, your sister, your father, your brother, anyone on this forum is a "living soul". When you die, you, your soul goes back to its ground and your thoughts do perish. Your spirit goes out, back to its maker, but your soul, your dead soul, goes back to the ground hence it was formed.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 is a good scripture to learn about what happens to us when we die.

It is judged. Whether you are Muslim, Christian, atheist.. your soul will be judged by God and you'll be rewared for your good deeds and punished for the bad ones.
