How are we suppose to behave and act to allow God to win souls?

I rely on the Holy Ghost to guide me and I hope to do and say the right things to help bring the revelation of the Lord to others.

Please share your experiences. Thank you and God Bless always!

Witness - think in legal terms. A witness testifies of what he or she knows of a person, place or circumstance. You have the idea - bring the revelation of the Lord to others. Tell of what the Lord has done for you.

We are to behave and act in such a way that does not bring question as to whether or not we follow Jesus. That does not mean lace collars up to your ears, perfect posture and a serious look on your face. But, it should be clear that although we are in the world, we are not of the world. Go ahead, enjoy life and your friends. Just don't step in an area you know would displease God.

Otherwise, our behavior and actions will no more allow God to win souls than our words. It helps, especially when people see that what they see is what they get - that is, a person who is genuine and w/o hypocrisy. But, we do these things out of our love for the Lord, not just so people can see how great it is to be a Christian.

Any help? I hope so. God bless you, too. Stay in contact with the Lord and keep reading His word.

Being a witness is doing exactly as you've said...sharing our experiences with others about our relationship with God. His message can't get out unless people are willing to tell their stories. The harvest is bountiful, but the workers are few.

None of us have the answers that some seek, but we have experienced things that some have realized have been the direct result of God acting in our lives.

We call the gospels a "testament". This is a legal term. It is a writ of testimony given as a witness for a coming trial. In the legal circles, you give a witness and a person writes down the testimony as heard for use in a coming trial. We are given the evidence before hand, and make our judgments accordingly. How we respond to the testimony will govern the results of our coming trial before the court of judgment.

In the Jewish law, there needed to be the voice of two testators to be established as fact (ref. Deut 19:15 & John 8:17). The gospels double that with four.

John 21:24
This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

All we are asked to do is give testimony to what God has done in our lives. I testify that Jesus is my God, Savior and Lord. And for the past 37 years of my life in Him, He has never failed.

I think part of being a witness is having something to witness, or testify to. I can testify that when I least expected it, God intervened in my life in a way that totally transformed me from the inside out, changing me from a bitter, arrogant, hateful unbeliever, to a humbled, grateful, joy-filled believer. I have been born again of the Spirit, according to Jesus' teaching in John's Gospel, chapter 3. I can testify that it is real, and that I am a new person, by the power of God.

The first bible study I ever was in studied the book of 2nd Peter. In the very first chapter, Peter writes to add to your faith, goodness, to goodness, mercy, to mercy brotherly kindess, to brotherly kindness, compassion, and he goes on like that, listing the qualities of kindness and forgiveness, all those fine things. I thought, "Hm. This speaks to me, I need to know this".

As a Christian, most of the time we "witness" to others through our behavior. You can be an example of Jesus Christ without ever mentioning His name. People can see in us peace, joy, calm, love, all those things, if we ask God to enable us to live that way of course.

There is a saying, "preach the gospel all the time, and when absolutely necessary, use words".
