I'm not shallow...I pick my friends on who they are inside, and what they're like-- not how they look or if they're into the newest fashion. I take responsibility for my deeds-- if I do good, that was my doing. If I make a mistake, I take the heat for it. I work for my money, I don't live of daddy's trust fund. But I don't have God either, and I prefer to do things for myself and not wait for something to be handed to me. That, and I just don't believe, that part is simple.
May I ask which group you're referring to here?

To each his/her own. No one else knows what God's plan is for them.
They're living "of the world", not "in the world". I'm guessing that on the outside they may appear happy, but on the inside they're struggling with things the rest of us are.
The way God feels about you is ultimately what matters. He's in control, so there's no point wasting your time or energy being frustrated about things that are beyond your control.
Romans 12, at the end it refers back to a passage in Isaiah where God says that he will judge us all. So don't pass judgement on anyone else, because that isn't our job. God will take care of it.

I think I tend to be one of those people.
Not that I'm good looking, but good things seem to just fall in my lap while I'm loafing about drinking or playing video games.
It frustrates the bejebus out of one of my friends who works his butt off, and I end up landing an excellent job without even trying because I happen to be in the right place at the right time.
I'm sort of the Homer Simpson to his Frank Grimes.

No, because I'm not the jealous type. If they don't need God then that is their issue.
They are the ones that have to live with themselves, really, what concern is that to anyone else?
IMO if that bothers another person then they must not be comfortable in their own skin.

Hey, don't let it bother you. I know sometimes it seems like that kind of person gets all the breaks, but it's all superficial. You know this yourself. It's ok to get irritated once in a while, but really you should just let it go and concentrate on what you can do to be the best person you can be.

That's probably more perception than reality. Everyone has to work hard to get through life. It may seem easier to some people, but they no doubt have their own insecurities, hang-ups, baggage, etc. Just work to improve your own life and you'll forget about those people.

So you are bothered when other people are happy or have a good life? I think you need to examine yourself and answer that question. I bet you like to share your pain with others too. You need to mind your own business.
