I saw on the news today, that there is a chain of pizza stores called "Pizza for Pesos" that accepts pesos as payment. Looks like we are one step closer to becoming part of Mexico.

I think they need to be shut down. This isn't Mexico... at least not YET.

~ Yes, but Canadians aren't trying to invade us....

It was an idea created to allow people to get rid of the pesos they brought back from visiting Mexico. Now if the patrons are crossing back and forth that means they are legally able to, how does that possibly mean we are one step closer to becoming part of Mexico? Are you aware the retail stores along the Canadian border routinely to the same thing? Or do you care? Smells like racism to me.

I saw that too. I wonder how many U.S. dollars they are actually getting anymore.

I won't be spending any U.S. dollars in any business in this nation which accepts Mexican pesos and not Canadian money or Euros.

What about Lira? Isn't pizza Italian?

Seems kind of foul to not accept Italian money for Italian food but take Mexican money.

Now talk about RACIST!

I will buy from any business which respects our U.S.money, not from any business that does not, and pizza for pesos does not.

Usually if there is a high concentration of immigrants in the area, local chains will accept other currencies. It is purely a customer service.

Wait until a good counterfiter discovers that the Peso is easier to copy than the Greenback.

This story is old news, 1st saw it almost 2 months ago. I'm amazed at the IDIOTS who have a problem with it, when I go to Mexico they accept my US currency, same as when I go to Canada. The banks have no problems handling foreign currencies, they've been set up to deal with it for years now.
