the ps2 is older technology and reads different discs, while the ps3 reads blu-ray (which the ps3 games are produced on) along with older disc formats.

no, these 2 systems come from different times. Plus, U can't update the PS2 which makes the PS3 to much advanced for the ps2.

Well you can say that it works, but it doesn't work very well. You can play most of the PS2 games on the PS3, though; but not the other way around.

no!!-put simply ps2 games are encoded onto standard DVD-ps3 games are encoded onto blu-ray (high def) discs-which the ps2 cannot play. in any event the hardware contained within a ps2 does not have the capacity to decode the massive amount of information contained on a blu-ray disc.

no.....Einstein.....why would it ? the PS3 games are on blu-ray discs. not regular DVD disc. if it were possible, why would they bother selling ps3's ?
