the cost of becoming a CPR/AED instructor through the American Red Cross? I'd like to be able to instruct a class on CPR/AED and first aid for the professional rescuer. I was wondering if anyone is one or knows the information and cost on how much it would cost through the Red Cross.

Our classes are $225 to be a Lay CPR Instructor (a 25.5 hour course). After being an instructor for the appropriate length of time (I believe it is 6 months), you can upgrade to a CPR for the Professional Responder instructor for $150 (which takes 8 hours if I remember right).

(We don't do a 'first aid' for the Pro's).

One option is to apply to the local chapter to be an instructor- then many of your classes are free!

Not sure, I did mine while in college. I'm sure if you go to the red cross website it might have the answer you're looking for, If not a number you might be able to call and ask any questions! Good luck!
