In some situations like small argument it can happen that your boyfriend puts hand over your mouth silencing you. It can also happen in joking, gentle way and in playfull situations. .How do you react? Do you try to free yourself or let the hand be there and accept it. Do you make sounds like mppphing or try to talk to his palm? Do you sometimes enjoy it? Does it ever make you excited when your boyfriend´s hand is over your mouth?

If it was silly/joking, I'd go along with the joke and maybe keep talking, or teasingly lick his had.
If he did it in anger or because he just didn't want to hear what I was saying, I'd probably bite him because his action would've been rude and inappropriate.

If he did it too often, or during an argument, or when I was giving my opinion, I'd be highly insulted. Such a move would say to me, "I don't care what you have to say." Such a move also strikes me as sexist. If he did it it an joking way, I'd remove his hand gently but firmly. If I were angered, I'd tell him so, either then or later.
Why not ask your girlfriend how she feels?
I suggest you don't do such a thing to her unless she tells you she actually enjoys it, and you believe her.
BTW, how would you feel if she put her hand over your mouth?

It sounds to me that this is a turn on for you. If so, you must find a girl who like the same things sexually as you do. If a guy ever did that to me in order to silence me, I would be very upset. In a playful, joking matter, I would just laugh.

if it's in an argument I want to right out haul off and hit the person. If it's in play and gentle, I'm usually fine with it. Does not turn me on or 'excite' me.

um if u do it in a way that is seductive like gently putting ur fingers on her lips and try kissing her that wud definitely shut me up but girls like 2 b heard and I wud not like for someone 2 put their hand over my mouth.

This is quite bad. Avoid any contact at all when arguing, it can only get worse and escalate.
I myself prefer to put something else in my wife's mouth.

If my boyfriend dared to do that I would have to rethink his skills at holding a mature argument/debate. Where has his hand been? Eww. I do not think that is acceptable. Always practice to LISTEN to the other person and then disagree if you must. If my boyfriend did this I would not say anything and then question his behavior.....

well, my boyfriend has never put his hand over my mouth...i know if he did i would be mad. He has grabbed my wrists a few times, cause ill start swinging at him, i hate my wrists being grabbed and when he does it, it makes me more mad.
