My favorite is John. I think it does the best at explaining the love of God and it focuses on Christ's deity.
If your favorite book is Lamentations, you should check out this CD called "The Hidden Face of God" by Michael Card. There is also an accompanying book he wrote entitled "A Sacred Sorrow: Reaching Out to God in the Lost Language of Lament." The CD and book are based out of Lamentations. You can get the book new for around $11 from Amazon.

Romans. Chapter 12 specifically.
Although I like Lamentations 3:22-23; it's one of my favorite verses.

I think you are the first person I have ever heard say that Lamentations was their favorite book of the bible....

I don't know, really. I keep my Bible by the toilet, and every morning I kill a few minutes perusing the atrocities in the OT.
I'll agree with Homeland Security (and that's not something you'll hear me say often) that "Revelations" is also quite an entertaining piece of work.

Revelation, Because it tells you about the final days, all that is due to happen and the final out come. God the Father bringing His Kingdom iun all its splender down to earth to be with His people for ever.

Genesis. I like the creation myths and Noah's flood and the Tower of Babel. There's a lot of cool stuff in Genesis. Exodus is pretty cool too. After that it gets boring for a long time.
