No. Many people are, which is why gluten-free Communion wafers exist. Lots of churches use them nowadays. The Episcopalian churches here have used them for years now. The only place it could potentially be a problem is within the Roman Catholic Church. Rulings have been made in the past (I don't know if they're still in effect today) that the wafers must contain gluten.
