I know for a fact there are female Sgt. Majors, I'm curious about COMMAND SGT. MAJORS.
Thanks.

Yes. When I first got to my battalion, we had a female CSM. I believe there were at least one or two others in the division, although since our battalion wasn't always in daily contact with the rest of the division, I can't say for sure. I've seen the occasional female CSM or SGM from other units. Our particular CSM wasn't a very good one, though--she was notoriously unpleasant, quick to punish, slow to reward, and most of us were glad to be rid of her when our new CSM came in. To be fair, however, most CSM's I've known were more like her than like her replacement, who was stern but pleasant; and that pleasantness only made people want to impress him and do what he asked of us, unlike his predecessor.

EDIT: By the way... when referring to them in plural, the correct way to say it is "Sergeants Major", not "Sergeant Majors". The reason is because they're sergeants, not majors (majors are O-4 commissioned officers).

Without offering hard numbers, I am confident that the army employ's a number of Sgt/Mjr's who happen to be female. Anywhere the army has a sizeable number of female enlisted personnel, they will more than likely have a female Sgt/Mjr, too !
