I'm a Christian, and I'll be honest. No, I don't want anybody to get run over by a train. People do occasionally say mean-spirited things on here (both believers and non-believers), but at the end of the day, it's just words. It's their opinion versus mine. Nothing to stress out over. I do admit that I've encountered a few posts here that did get my blood pressure up, but when it comes to that point, I shut down the computer and walk away for a while. Within about five minutes, I've calmed down and realized how silly it is to freak out over something posted online by people I don't even know.

God said that He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked. He said that He doesn't want ANY to perish in hell, but that ALL should come to repentance.

Shouldn't the Christian's attitude be the same?

Maybe there are some who are immature in their faith that want to see revenge, but as they grow closer to the Lord, they will eventually get to the place where they can say with Jesus, "Father, forgive them. They don't know what they're doing."

John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Actually, it is merely a point of frustration. But Christians are not to take such attacks personally. The attacks are about our beliefs, not about us, per se. So when people attack, it's really an attack on Who we believe in.

Jesus already told us in the Gospels that attacks would come. But if people hate us, we take comfort knowing that they hated Jesus first.

That is just the point to try to do something so they could understand something. They are also God's creatures and God wants them to turn back to Him. Even they will not repent, may be their lives on this earth will be a little better or may be they will not do too much evil to other people. We ought to think of them, to pray for them. God can perform miracles, don't forget it.

No-one who is truly Christian would wish harm upon another, and particularly would not desire that anyone end up in hell. Jesus desired the salvation of all people, and sacrificed His own life to make it possible. His true followers will do no less than follow His example.

no. I am saddened that unfortunately, they will get a far worse punishment if they do not come to their senses. HELL! Its not a wish for me to see them there, if it was, I would not be on here trying to preach salvation to them, despite their rejection and nasty behavior. I still love them and so does God! : D

Sometimes it makes me mad, especially if they're displaying ignorance of Christianity to begin with. Sometimes I find it funny that atheists accuse us of being narrow-minded, because their minds seem to be closed to anything they can't put in their mouths. Mostly, though, I just end up feeling sorry for them. I mean, when I die, if I find out I was wrong, what have I lost? But if they're wrong, they've lost eternity.

Thank you for your kind words.

No. It doesn't bother me. Someone can make fun of me, my beliefs, my church, and everything that I stand for -- however, it doesn't make my beliefs invalid. I doesn't make my beliefs fall to the wayside. It doesn't really bother me to be honest. I don't wish ill on them. I wish them well in life. My beliefs are to praise God when I am persecuted, to thank God when I am insulted as a result of believing in Him, and to bless and pray for my enemies and those who attack me. I follow as Christ taught by the grace of God.

Rom 12:18 If possible, from you being in peace with all men;
Rom 12:19 not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath, for it has been written, "Vengeance is Mine," "I will repay," says the Lord.
