How can RPG Maker work with Windows Vista?

I am trying to run RPG Maker on Windows Vista. I have looked at all the possible options. Can someone help me?

Did you try running the program under compatibility mode? Right-click the program, select "Properties, and navigate to the Compatibility tab. In the drop-down box, select "Windows XP".

you could try googling patches for the software you are using. there maybe be something there or you could just contact the makers of the software and see if they could send you a patch.
