No, no, and no. Crunches work the top ridge of your six pack only, and as an exercise, crunches essentially involve the least amount of movement possible. If you're looking to shrink your waist, you are going to need to burn off any fat there and shape the muscles underneath. How? Lots of cardio, a proper diet, and infrequent but hard ab workouts (with lots of variety). Try pilates -- there are many exercises in pilates that are much tougher than crunches and will actually work on strengthening your abs while teaching you the technique of drawing your abs in and keeping them there (without even thinking about it).

No. The only method to lose fat is to burn it off with cardiovascular exercises and to maintain a proper diet. Doing crunches is a form of spot reducing and is not possible. You may develop strong ab muscles under the layer of fat but it will not produce a flat stomach.

Crunches build muscle you have to do cardio workouts like jogging.

If your protruding stomach is from slack abdominal muscles, then yes.

If its the result of excess fat, then no. Crunches have no effect on fat.

Im guessing so. if you did other excercises to. the body becomes used to one form of excercise and stops responding to it... so in order to get great results you have to change up your routine.

yeah! muscular for sure, but never work yourself to hard, or you could wind up in the hospital
