Most -- if not all - store-bought, low-fat salad dressings are high in sugar to make up for the lack of fat. (Check the ingredients -- if high fructose corn syrup or any sugary substance is in the top 3 ingredients, guess where the taste is coming from?). High sugar dressings are hardly better than high fat ones. My advice -- either go with all-natural organic dressings that say high in omega 3s (they will still be high in fat, but relatively low in sugar and will provide at least some health benefits), or simply use organic vinegar and olive oil (and forget about stuff like Caesar's or 1000 Island, which is like bathing your healthy greens in a pool of fat).

perhaps you need to re-evaluate your expectations of a salad dressing. At any rate, I personally like Kraft low fat ranch.
