Why didn't he just make Satan vanish, instead of casting him to earth?

This seems to boil down to the Yin-Yang.

Hmm This is a question only answerable by God.
Something I have wondered as well.

First of all, God didn't create Satan the way he is now. Satan used to be called Lucifer, and he occupied the highest position in Heaven below Christ Himself. He was one of the covering cherubs, and he was a very good-looking guy. However, he let the pride of his position and beauty go to his head, and created mutiny in Heaven. He created distrust in God's government of the universe, and persuaded some of the angels that he could do a better job. God kicked him out of heaven (along with 1/3 of the angels of Heaven who followed Lucifer). Sure, he could have just destroyed him then and there, but all that would have done is cause the rest of the angels to obey Him out of fear rather than love. They would have said, "Maybe Lucifer was right." God, in his justice and mercy, allowed the universe to witness for themselves just how "great" Satan's rule would be. We have seen the results of Satan's government of this planet for the last 6,000 years, and now his time is at an end. Now no one, neither angel or human, will be able to say, "Poor Lucifer". He's had his chance. Soon Christ will come and destroy Satan and bring his reign on Earth to an end. There will be no more sin or sinners, and peace and order will be restored to the universe. No one will ever again question God's righteousness.

God did create Lucifer(a.k.a Satan) which was his
original name, but Lucifer was not always evil. He was
once a good angel. He became the Devil which
means slanderer/Satan which means opposer. He
became this way when he first told the first lie. Meaning
he tricked Eve into eating from the tree.

Example: A thief was not born a thief. His family were
good, honest people. But he became a thief by stealing
money. His own desire for what money can buy is what
caused him to become this way. So he wasn't a thief
he became one by stealing for his own desire.

Just like the Lucifer became Satan the Devil for his
desire. The Devil saw how he could easily trick Eve
into believing him. The Devil also got jealous because
God was getting worship. He wanted to be worship just
like God. The Devil told God he could get people to
worship him and not worship God. He even said that
humans could rule themselves without Gods rules. God
could have destroyed Satan, but that would not have answered the questions that Satan had raised. So God casted him down to earth(with the good angels who
became demons). So God is really allowing time for
Satan to prove that what he said was right.

God didn't create the devil. Satan was an angel in heaven who(because of his God given "Free Will") allowed his heart condition to become evil.

So when he tempted Eve and told the first lie. (Genesis 3:1-5)
At that moment he became as we know him today as Satan the devil.

When Satan did this what he was ultimately doing was challenging Gods right to rule. Basically saying that man would be better having God out of the way and Satan at the helm.

Now if God had just destroyed Satan at that moment(which he would have been justified in doing) that would have left open the question Satan posed. Who would be better at ruling God or Satan.

Seeing that "perfect" man(Adam & Eve) disobeyed God. And showed that yes, man is capable of following Satan. God being the Holy and just God he is accepted Satans challenge. As brought out at 1John 5:19

And the world we live in today is the result of that challenge. War, death, disease, disunity ect...ect..Ultimately Satan has shown that he can not and is not a better ruler than God.

he was an angel that handled the choir. He envyed God and wanted to be more powerful than Him......He and his gang of angels rebelled against him, so therefore not only did God cast Satan down 2 hell but also his angels.
This preacher had asked us" Ever wonder why dinosaurs are scattered around the world? Those were the fallen angels that betrayed God w/ Satan....." That got me thinking as well about how the dinos came about.......
We can only worship one GOD.........We cannot serve 2........U either wanna have eternal life or burn for eternal life where the worm never dies???

it does boil down to Yin and Yang, as you have stated.. for what's the point of being good if there is no alternative?.. and how would that be having free will? If you believe that God is omnipotent and all powerful then you have to assume that he made the devil TO rebel... he created him for that very purpose.

I believe that God created the devil because God gives everyone a choice; to except God or reject Him. When people reject him then they are sent to a place(Hell) where people grind their teeth with pain for eternity. That is the way I've learned and believe. I also believe that atheists and evelutionists will go to Hell because they have rejected God if they don't turn to God. For the people that don't believe in God then maybe they will change their mind when the antichrist comes as a very kind man and then betrays everone that gets left behind. I hope this helps you understand a little more!!!

God didn't create the devil, the devil before was an angel but he betrayed God, I think the reason why God didn't get rid of him because he wants to know the true believers... People that knows right from wrong... For example Adam and Eve are a good reason why the devil was not vanished!! Its free choice really, do you follow the devil or the almighty GOD!!

God didn't create the devil. He created an archangel. That archangel wanted to be a god and not angel. So he raised a rebellion against God ......and lost.

Why earth was the place of banishment? I don't know. But he wil end up in hell ...with all his angels....and all those who rebel against God.

Matt 25:41

41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
(from New International Version)

Try reading the christian bible more than a verse at a time,I don't know kinda like it's a book. And see how many other bad guys you find that he didn't and doesn't take credit for creating.Off hand I'm thinking Baal,Beelzebub,Ca'an the word Satan doesn't cover them all. It's strange to me how many people go through life ready to tell everyone else how wrong they are for what they believe and have never read their own book (the whole thing)
