I think Elijah and Moses. Their visit to the mount of transfiguration could have been a stop between their times and the end times. But Enoch would be my 3rd guess.

EDIT: Tim LaHaye apparently thinks it's Elijah and Moses also based on what's in the Left Behind books.

EVERYTHING in Revelation is FIGURATIVE. You have to understand WHAT these 2 prophets represent--not who. It is the scriptures on both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres:

Although unbeknownst to the rest of the people in his time, John the Beloved knew that the physical earth consisted of two separate landmasses, modernly referred to as the Western and Eastern Hemispheres.

The Jews were not the only people chosen to bring the words of Christ to the world. From Jewish culture came the Bible, which is a historical religious record that culminates in the formation of Christianity as presented in the New Testament. There were other religious writings found among different peoples of the earth, given by the specific prophet sent to teach each culture according to its traditions and understanding. The Orient had the writings of Confucius and Lao Tse. The Persians had their prophets, the Greeks had theirs, and there were many others who expounded upon the wisdom they received as chosen prophets of God. Eastern cultures and their written scriptures were isolated to the Eastern Hemisphere.

What the world did not discover at the time, is that after his resurrection, Christ visited the Western Hemisphere and established his gospel among the people of that part of the world too. These also received the testimony and prophesying of ancient prophets, who were sent to them according to God’s timetable for the earth.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (John 10:16)

The evidence of Christ’s visit to those in the Western Hemisphere is recorded in the second “olive tree” and “candlestick” presented as a “witness” by John. Upon proper research, those so inclined will find the witness given of Christ and his gospel to the people of the Western Hemisphere.

Daniel also prophesies of two different prophets who recorded the same vision that he received. (See Daniel 12:4–6.)

In this verse of Revelation, John is not speaking of just any particular prophet who has been given a vision of the beginning of time to the end of time. ...

These “two witnesses” (“two olive trees/two candlesticks”) are received as the Holy Word of God as contained in the scriptures, both those written in the Eastern Hemisphere (which include, but are not limited to the Bible), and those in the Western Hemisphere.

You can read more and gain an understanding of ALL of Revelation if you are interested, in the book at the site below. It is the most amazing book that will ever be written on the subject.

Elijah and Moses as in the Transfiguration. There is a lot of foreshadowing in the Bible.

depends on what mythology you believe. Catholic mythology states that Enoch was actually "recreated" as the angel Metatron, with enormous proportions (1000's of cubits tall)

but of course we know that that's all hogwash.....

don't we?
