Before Sr. when you " Bumped" the back of another car NA$CAR gave you the Black Flag. But funny Sr. never got that and should have been barred for endangering another driver. Now, if you do the same thing Sr. did , all hell breaks loose. NA$CAR has a fit, the fans all whine. Bunch of hypocrites.
He never seemed to " intimidate" the older drivers like the Allison's , Petty, Yarbourgh, etc., just the younger ones.

This was known to happen.
In fact if Dale were at Bristol this past Saturday Mike Waltrips car would be in the hauler after the first time he "blocked" the leader.
But nobody was as masterful at giving the "chrome horn" as Dale Earnhardt.

I went to a race in Bristol (don't recall the year) and Dale Sr. was running 2nd to Rusty Wallace in a Ford. There was a caution and Mark Martin also in a Ford was the 1st car one lap down. Mark held up Dale for about 20 laps before finally letting him by with about 20 to go and no chance of catching Rusty. I personally would have moved Mark but Dale did not. So, NO!! Dale was actually a crafty driver. Alot of times he would move people without ever touching them by taking the air of their spoiler but he was actually pretty clean unless you tried roughing him up.

Earnhardt would try to pass a slower car. If he couldn't pass he would bump the car (the chrome horn). If the car still was blocking after that he would move them out of the way. Most of the time he just moved them over but at times they were wrecked.

The intimidation came from the first warning bump.

Yep he never would have had 76 wins if Nascar had disqualified him every time he used the wreck and run tactic. And his victims didn't whine about it and ask Nascar to fine him like the wussies driving nowadays do.

Sorta, If you was slower than he was and you wouldn't let him past you, then he would move you. And when other drivers saw The Intimidator coming, the would move out of his way if they were slower than him, b/c they didn't want to get wrecked.

Yes You are 100% correct. Remember these phrases I am the Intimidator---I just wanted to rattle his cage a little bit. I would like to half half the money he cost other teams by tearing up their races cars and costing them better finishes. If I did I would be a millionaire!!!!!!!
