If you think carefully about this you will realise that your body is just a carriage for your soul (your ego...your self) enabling it to feel, see, smell, hear and taste, and deteriorates with age until it disintigrates and decays in the earth after your soul has left it.
God has promised us new bodies when we enter His Kingdom....can't wait!
Best wishes, Mike.

Our bodies will be a resurrected "glorified" body JUST LIKE JESUS IS NOW. He came and lived a human earth life and when He resurrected His body was still His body, but it was a glorified body that could eat and drink and walk through walls and appear and disappear at will, yet His body was recognizable (although several didn't) because it is said that His trauma was so intense due to His terrible death and agony on the cross of Calvary, and His hair turned white fulfilling a prophecy regarding that. His STILL is a man with a glorified body and so will we be whether we ascend into Paradise to wait for the New Earth or be raptured and then return with Him.
Our body WILL be changed so we can stand the " weight of glory". Hallelujah.

Man was created as a composite being, made of body and spirit.
When this mortal body dies, the spirit returns to God, awaiting the end of the age.
At that time all will receive new, resurrection bodies, and they will be complete for eternity ... whether that eternity is spent in heaven, or in hell.

No, we are going to have actual, physical bodies in Heaven. Heaven will be a real, solid place, and we will get to re-inhabit this Earth after God has destroyed every trace of sin and re-created the Earth the way it used to be in the beginning, perfect and teeming with harmless animal life. God says that we will build our own houses and grow our own food, and no one will be able to take those from us.

Because it is necessary. That has been the trick on the devil, he thought that he was destroying God's creation when in reality, God was just initiating his creation, because after you work the ceramic, you put it through the fire, some you take out, some get damaged and stay to feed the fire.
But when the ceramic comes out it is not mud anymore, but perfect tools to serve in whatever is good.
Oh well, you know, something like that.

At Jesus' Second Coming, we saints will return with Him to rule with Him for a thousand years. Hence, the need for new bodies.

my body doesn't "need" to be resurrected. This is what God wants.
As for spiritual body...that's what we will have until the day Jesus returns...then we will have our "glorified" body..the body that God gave Adam and Eve before sin entered the world
Wow!! you mean I'm not going to feel pain, age, or have disease? Now isn't that something to live for??!!!!

yes we will be spirits in heaven, that is untill the last day of the world, when time and the smoke of battle come to their end, we will be either in heaven or hell for all eternity, body and soul (spirit)

When Jesus was resurrected He had a physical body, but it was able to walk through walls. We will have bodies, but this one decays. Do you really want it for eternity?
