I am so sorry you lost Wiggins. It is obvious that Wiggins was special to you and his loss is painful for you. I once had a dog named Scruffy that we got just before my baby sister was born and I used to jokingly tell her that Scruffy was older than her and she had to show him respect. I was seven when we got Scruffy and he passed away when I was 25. He was quite ill toward the end and his passing was a relief in some ways because I could see he was in pain. He was a wonderful friend and now I am in my 40's and still carry him in my heart and I still miss him . He was a comfort to me so many times as have the pets I have had since. Now we have two cats that provide us a great deal of pleasure. We enjoy watching their antics and enjoy their individuality even when this means we are being awakened at 4 am because that is when one of our cats demands to be fed. I wonder sometimes if we are their pets. After the loss of a loved pet I mourn them just like I would a member of my family as that is how I see them. I comfort myself in my belief that they will be in heaven and I will see them again. As much as it hurts when they pass away I always get another pet because I know I can provide a wonderful home for a pet and I know how important they are to my health and wellbeing. They bring laughter and joy into your life just like your closest friends. You obviously love Wiggins very much and will miss him always but don't let the pain of his loss prevent you from obtaining another pet that will enrich your life - not the same as Wiggins but in another special way. Again I am sorry for your loss.

oh i'm so sorry to hear this.
i have 6 cats myself and i would be completely mortified if i lost one. : (
you should feel greatful that your cat was one of the lucky ones that was able to enjoy a long and happy life. In a nice house with a loving owner. Most cats don't get to enjoy such a wonderful thing, many are shoved in over populated shelters or out as strays starving for food. Some are picked up by animal control and only given 5 days to be claimed and then are euthanized. I understand you are suffering from your loss but why not in memory of Wiggins adopt another homeless cat and give him a shot at teh amazing life that wiggins had.
rest in peace wiggins.

I am sorry he died. I'm sure Wiggins is in a better place right now and that he lived a great life with you. He was lucky to have you as an owner and you are lucky to have Wiggins. I myself have gone through a loss. I am 14 years old and my pug, Lady died in July. Of course I was upset, but I just moved on with my life. Last year, my cockatiel that I had since I was 10 died. Well, I wish you all the best.

Sorry for your loss doc!
A pet's death sometimes feels like "losing a member of the family", in a way; because, "in a way," it IS a member of the family!
What did Wiggins look like.
I've had every colour in the rainbow, including a calico cat.
Pepper, my current little mouse catcher is a black cat (but I'm not suspicious when she crosses my path, as she loves to do.).
You should've told us how long you had Wiggins, instead of how old you were.
Now you can't say how long you had Wiggins, or we'll put 2 + 2 together and know your age!
How long did Wiggins live, Dr Watson?
There are amateur sleuths are out here, in your audience, trying to piece together clues.
Why? "Well, it's elementary my dear Watson."

Sorry to hear about the loss of Wiggins. I couldn't imagine my life without pets -- I have 1 dog and 4 cats.
When my first dog passed away a few years ago I was completely devastated. I grieved for him just like I have grieved for some people in my life. I even got a tattoo in honor of him.

Its like losing a family member. How lucky Wiggins was to have you and how lucky you were to have him so long. I visit the local SPCA weekly, and see so many "throw away" pets. I just adopted another cat last month. You will know when you are ready to adopt another kitty. Do not let anyone talk you into another pet until you are sure. I hope my kitties live as long as Wiggins. God Bless

You can rest assured that he is still with you in spirit. He had a fine, long life with you, and was loved. What more could he ask for? Remember all the good times you had together, and be happy. He will be waiting for you when the time comes.
Sorry for your loss.

You have my sympathy and condolences ... my eldest cat (I have four) is 21yrs old now and a bit tottery on her old legs, almost blind but still with a good sense of smell.... she's still as loving as she ever was ..... I know her time's coming and I'm dreading it .... she has been with me and has been there for me through so many things in my life.... we been through them all together .... I'm dreading when she finally goes because a part of my history will go with her ....
I console myself (because I believe in an afterlife and in reincarnation) that she was a good friend to me in another life, she is a good friend to me in this life, and will be a good friend to me in another life .... I honestly believe she will come back to me at another time in another form, maybe as another cat ....
I hope Wiggy will come back to you ... when he does you will know him.... that kind of love can never be defeated by death ...
