I'm an atheist too, and I think she's pretty HAWT. Would it be immoral/unethical if I tried to seduce her? Would it be immoral/unethical if I succeeded and we have a passionate affair? What if it didn't affect the outcome of my grade?
Any thoughts...suggestions...

It would definitely be unethical if you attempted to influence your grade by gaining access to your geology professor's good graces via romantic means. Imagine that you are a non-lesbian classmate who works hard and gets the grades as a result, but you simply seduced your way to an "A." It is the ethical equivalent of fraud.
And it would be even more unethical if she were to succumb to your womanly wiles. You would both be violating an authority boundary that should remain in place until there is no longer any chance that you will have her as a professor.
After that, go for it.

Yes. Yes it would be unethical of you. She could get fired. And never be able to work in her profession again. If you respect her at all, don't put her in that position (no pun intended).

As for the ethics.....whoops..there's that "moral absolute" variable.

your in college and you spelled "hot" wrong. personally...i would have never thought twice about talking to any of my prof. things can go wrong and then there goes your grade. you cant take it to the dean because of the relationship you 2 had. she could possibly lose her job. i wouldn't take the risk. but you are in college now..i would suggest you use your education and spell correctly.
