I might be moving to Ocala in Florida in the next few months but need to transfer to a new university to continue my education. I dont know the surrounding area and not really sure where those who live in ocala go to school at, or if they go to one of the surrounding cities if its close enough. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Univ of Fl is close in Gainesville as is Univ of Central Fl. in Orlando

University of Florida is about 30 to 45 minutes north of Ocala in Gainesville.

well their is UF. thats the only close one that i know of. distance depends on what part of ocala you are moving to. its anywhere from an hour or just 30 minutes

FSU or UF mostly.
I went to FSU and had a lot of friends from Ocala. Its only a 3 hour drive!
