Why do some people believe this is a false religious system ?

To Mim: They believe in Entire Sanctification and abstaining from worldliness, and that one can backslide.

Hence the title, holiness is not a movement. It is a lifestyle that every follower of Christ should try to live. It can only be obtained through relationship with Jesus, and not through a denomination. Real religion and holiness have to do with the condition of the heart. Once the heart is right, actions are sure to follow. Some people try to do certain things that are "not holy" like not wearing lipstick, but don't work on the inner man. I think that's why alot of people don't agree with such a movement or denominational rule.

If you mean by the Holiness movement a "New Springtime of the revival of the Holy Spirit" and an awakening of people's faith, that truly is a movement of the Holy Spirit. some people doubt because they don't want to believe that people are changing. That would mean that they would have to take a closer look at the way they are living. It's easier to believe that the Holy Spirit and conversions are not happening then to have to make changes in your own life.

Focuses too much on man's power and abilities. The Bible teaches that we are unholy, and only the power and workings of the Holy Spirit can change me. God doing it is how the Bible teaches it. But some in the "holiness movement" rely on man's feeble power, and it fails.
