ask the rental place, each one would be different.

Depends on the shop. At my shop we generally would like to have the sizes in around two weeks out from the wedding or earlier. This gives ample time to fill the order and have it arrive the Thursday before the wedding. We do this so when the guys try on if something doesn't fit we can have a new piece by Friday. Now not all shops offer this, I know that a larger company who I won't mention the name, we will just call MW, will only pin up loose fitting articles and things like that. So just research how they operate in last minute situations because that will be the biggest issue with the Tuxedos. At my shop again though if a guy showed up friday I could have his tux by Saturday. We are the excpetion though not the norm.

Probably three months before. My bf was in a wedding party a few weeks ago and they only got their tuxes a month before the wedding. They weren't able to get the ones they wanted and then had issues with the fittings.
Also, like someone else said, book them now and you'll get the 2007 prices instead of next year's. It probably won't be a big difference but $10 or $15 here and there adds up!

It depends on when your wedding is...if it is prom/wedding season then get them in about 6 months in advance, my wedding is the end of september and the place where we are getting the guys said 3 weeks but they can get them in as little as 1 so just ask the place where you are going what they suggest for the time of year that you are getting married in. And as stated above go with the guys and make sure you like the look, you may realize that the vest or something is not right and you don't want to realize this as you are walking down the aisle.
Good Luck.

Have them make arrangements for their tuxedos a week before the wedding. They should be able to pick them up and take them back to the rental place in case any adjustments are needed. Discuss it with the rental place for their input.

Oh you should definitely have something to do with it. I assumed the guys in my wedding would get it taken care of. My wedding is next week...and none of the guys have ANYTHING....so we're screwed, we'll be buying either expensive suits somewhere or hitting wal mart 30 minutes before the ceremony who knows? Yea just great. So DON'T leave it up to them. Men are idiots. Do it AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! You want to leave room for uh ohs like the wrong size ordered, wrong colors, or alterations. Be prepared as you can so you're not a crazy stressed out woman like me.

Usually you are looking at 6 weeks prior so the shop can order the tux in the proper size if it is not currently in stock, but each place is different...call and check well in advance. Have your fiance take charge of this part (decide with him on style and color) and ask him to contact all his men to be fitted. They can all go together, or individually, whatever works best. Leaving him in charge really helps you out so you can focus on other aspects of the planning. Congrats and best wishes!

As soon as possible, but most tux rental places say 4-6 weeks before. They need to give themselves enough time to go in for the measurements.
Good luck!

about 2-3 months. however, if you are getting married in 2008. if you book now chances are they will still give you the 2007 prices.
and they should pick them up 2days before the wedding so there is time if they need to hem up someone's pants or an order comes in wrong.

You should go in about 6 months before your wedding to pick them out. And about 2 months before make sure everyone is fitted.
