turkey is also fine, and any other kind of meat, I am trying to trim my grocery budget, thank you note they need to be never frozen as I will cut them up and freeze them myself

Unfortunately as those that have said before me, finding a local butcher that deals with poultry will be your #1 to look for, BUT the cost of those locally raised birds is generally more than the store birds. I say that because most of those will be marketed as pasture reared or cage free and they will be looking for a premium price.

You may also visit your local farmer's market, they generally free their birds as soon as possible, but I'd be willing to bet if you'd like to make a deal with one of them that they may hold back a certain of birds for you to do as you please with them.

Or better yet, if your area allows is to rear a few commercial broilers yourself. In 6-8weeks they are ready to be slaughtered and you'd know exactly what they were fed and how they were taken care of.

You need to buy from local farms or butcher shops.

I doubt that you can save money shopping online for what you're asking for. The shipping cost will blow the cost sky high.

On-line? They won't be quite as fresh once they're shipped to you.
