A great movie meal is pasta!!

I like to cook pasta with Shrimp...

Take a pound of pasta (I usually use angel hair, but use whatever your favorite is), and cook it.

While it is cooking, take about a half a pound of shrimp and clean it.

Pour some olive oil into a pan (enough to coat all of the pasta). Put in about 6 cloves of sliced garlic and let it get just toasted (no brown!) Toss in the shrimp, cook for 2 minutes on each side, and then add the pasta....but don't get rid of the water...sometimes if the pasta seems dry, you can add the pasta water to it to make it more of a sauce.

At the end I throw about a 1/2 a cup of parmesan cheese in it....Voila..dinner is served.

Get some frozen garlic bread or a salad from the deli and you're all set.

A great movie for this would be any Italian flick...like Goodfellas!!!

Quick dinners for me:
Pasta with chopped tomatoes, cubed mozarella, fresh basil and a little balsamic dressing is perfect at this time of year.
A quick shepherds pie: sautee onions, add ground beef/turkey/soy (whatever), if you're really short on time just add some powdered gravy mix/water or canned gravy and frozen peas...put mashed potatoes on top and cook at 350 or so til hot..if you butter the top a little it will brown, or just spray with cooking spray (you can even buy mashed potatoes already made in most stores at the precooked food section)
My usual quick meals though are stir fry...or ...buy a couple of nice pieces of fish...sear them on high heat for less than a minute per side then pop it in the oven to finish cooking, I usually serve it with blackbeans and rice as well as some roasted asparagus, or brocolli with cheese
Good Luck...enjoy your dinner. Wish I knew what kind of movie you were in the mood for or who your audience is so I could give you some ideas to go with dinner.

Shrimp Scampi with wild rice & Perfect Stranger with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis...great twist to it!!

Buy large shrimp and sautee in butter garlic cloves and a couple slices of onion. Serve in a dish with some of the sautee mix. Buy uncle bens wild rice and make it!!

This is easy and good so it feels like you spent all night but you can spend time watching the movie!!

There are plenty of quick recipes that you can make, go to the food section of Yahoo! and look around!

But the best movie to watch for any occasion is Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas with Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro.

DO IT!

Popeye´s "souffle"

2 eggs,
1/2 cup Milk,
1 cup ricotta (or similar) white cheese,
1 cup spinach ( pre boiled )

Boil the fresh spinach too cook, (If you are "a sophisticated cook" first blend the egg whites til`its "foamy") put the ingredients on the osterizer ( Blender), ( just 5 seconds just too cut every thing in too little pieces) ( not the foamy eggs white "please".) place everything on a "Pyrex's" bowl, Preheat your oven to 350 degree F, and, cook "your mix" until it expands and dries, +/- 30 minutes.
enjoy, it`s the Popey`s dream
serve hot, on the bowl, "pour ketchup Heinz" on top as you serve on your plate..

you can change the spinach for asparagus. for a "Garden souffle
