I'll take a crack at this...
Point 1: Faith and Reason are not contradictory, and neither are they polar opposites. There are plenty of REASONS to have faith in God and to suggest that there is a God. Many atheists become theist through their study of science or through reason. Consider the philosopher C. S. Lewis (Mere Christianity), the lawyer Josh McDowell (Evidence that Demands a Verdict), or the journalist Lee Strobel (Case For a Creator)...
Over even consider the "King of Reason"...Thomas Paine, himself...who was a non-Christian deists who wrote "The Age of Reason". And he used reason to "prove" the existance of God...and was a deist.
Point 2: Is faith "more" valuable than reason...?
A Christian would have to answer yes. For "reason" ALONE will not save you from your sins...but "faith" ALONE will save you from your sins. And if the difference is as extreme as an eternity in hell or an eternity in heaven, then a Christian MUST conclude that "faith" is more valuable than reason. Therefore, reason will tell you that faith is more important that reason, itself!
And yes...you have to rely on "faith" to prove that faith is more valuable than reason.
POINT 3: Regarinding "believing is seeing" vs. "seeing is believing"...
In reality, this is a Catch-22...as I have said in other answers...
Jesus says, "IF you would believe, THEN you would see."
The atheist says, "IF I would see, THEN I would believe."
Therefore, the atheist does NOT see, but the believer DOES!
After 20+ years of not "seeing", I became an atheist. I sat down to read the Bible to prove it wrong...and ended up "believing". And AFTER I believed, for the first time I saw the evidence...as God revealed Himself to me. He didn't reveal Himself to be in order for me to beileve...but I believed...and then saw.

Faith is better 'cause it's so much easier.
Anyone can do it. No problem.
Reason requires critical thinking and rational thought. In other wqrds - work. And the intelligence to do these requirements.
That's asking a lot.
Faith, on the other hand, requires no special skills or talents. You only need a minimum of intelligence, just enough to make you somewhat self aware. No effort needs to be expended and there is no need for evidence, continuity, or justification. You don't even have to make sense.
Faith got it all over reason!

HMMM. well i believe God is visible and that there is a lot of evidence that supports creation and God and i have seen many miracles personally through hard times in my life where i made crucial mistakes and bad judgment. but if there was a question for faith.
well if you have faith in God or the moral compass of God then you will have eternal life.
if you have faith in God and there is no God...then no harm.
but if you don't have faith in soemthing more and Gods definition of a moral compass then life gets kind of depressing and if your wrong then it wouldn't be too great of an afterlife. and then you spend your whole one life being depressed because when you die nothing happens. most atheist on here seem like pretty angry people.

I don't believe in either of those statements. I believe BECAUSE I've reasoned everything. The Bible has no lies in it. I have only found it to be a book of truth. Every "contradiction" that has ever been reported to be in the Bible has been accurately explained, either by myself or through my research on the topic. I have no reason NOT to believe in God and his Holy Word.
But for some people, blind faith is all they require to believe. I can't say I agree with their means, but all God requires is their faith in order to go to heaven.

I can only think of one context where faith is disconnected from reason. This is the context, please feel free to apply it to your life:
If you had a close family member in the hospital dying from cancer, faith that the loved one will be better off passing away than having to suffer here is applied.
But in the other faith issues that come up, reason is applied to faith. I mean, you have to know what to trust in if you are going to faith in something. It makes sense to me anyway.
I do not look at faith and reason to be typically detached.

Believing is seeing is better approach of life b'coz, thats how the world is created by creator!for ex.if u decide to draw some picture, how u draw?1st imagine & then draw? or 1st draw & then imagine???????
so U really need to check out every reason & yet if u find that something is yet unclear then faith, or u can directly apply faith....
choice is yrs!

Reason is limited - always has and always will be -
a prisoner of space and time is limited.
Faith is actually a relationship with the One who knows
all and fait is actually a process just like reason is
a process.
It's like having faith in a friend who promised you she
would be at your wedding, for example - it is actually
a realationship - a different thing than reason.
God gave us both reason and faith for a reason!

Faith is required when making goals for life.
A person may live in squaller, and if he lives with sight alone will say I am surrounded by poverty, so that is my lot in life. However with faith he can believe in a better future and plan for it with hope.
With religion, I guess it is similar, but that is assuming you think the world is a terrible place. I don't, I think that it is a wonderful place overall, but does have ugly spots.

Happiness is a reason to prove the value of faith.
We all have faith. some have faith in God, others put their faith in themselves, or in consumerism, or whatever.
Peace!

A man's knowldge is limited to what can be physically proved.
Through faith comes revelation from God an eternal spirit who is beyond a man's limited understanding. There is a greater truth than that which you can see with your eyes.
