Some people would give anything to have the dreams you've had. First dream: I believe that your mother did come to you to help your troubled soul and to move on in your live. These kinds of dreams are really really intense, and differ from regular dreams.
Second dream: This dream was made because you needed some comfort in your mind, a comfort only a loving mother could provide. You may have seen something earlier that day that reminded you of her.

Of course it is possible. It happens all the time. It is the souls from the non-physical reality who often seek to guide us in the physical reality. Sometimes the dream could be just your subconscious trying to get your attention and communicate something important to you. Remember: dreams are largely symbolism. From your second dream, I gather that you think your husband would not be so supportive if you told him of this dream. No need to do so then.

I do believe that the spirit of the dead are still around here on earth. Their bodies are buried but their spirit are around that we don´t see yet they see us. So that at times they communicate with us through dreams probably because they are in the form of spirits. And we who are alive though have spirits. The bible says that during the second coming of Jesus the dead will rise first and we the living will meet him on the air. Wonderful isn´t it?
Since Jesus resurrected the deads also will resurrect.

I believe that. My biological father died when I was 9 months old. His spiritual energy has, countless times, resulted in preventing me from serious danger, and/or harm. I actually see/feel his presence in my peripheral vision field. He is wearing a dark suit. When I turn to look directly at this manifestation, he is not visible. My mother entered another place about a year ago. I feel her presence not infrequently. The last time she visited me, I was in a sorta sleep state. I was alerted by a knock on my front door, and I heard her call my name. It was just her way of assuring me that she was still involved in my life. So, when you have these experiences, welcome them.

Sure :) I call them visits. I don't get very many from my Gram, but when I do they are just like how you described. Very real and vivid.
