I go to him everyday because in times of need he has always been with me. I want to make sure that he remains with me. He's not there just for difficult times, he's there always, in hard times and joyful ones.

When I have a problem, I see if there are steps that can be taken to solve said problem. If so, then I do what I can to resolve it, thus taking some control. I find that when I've done this, I no longer have a reason to worry.
If whatever is bothering me is something over which I have no control, then I simply put it out of my mind. If I can't change it, then what's the point in worrying? The worst that I can imagine rarely happens anyway, and I've found that things usually work out as I would have wanted them to.
I rarely spend time worrying about anything.

I am the same as you. I turn to God about all things. He is my shelter, comfort, and the only one who knows what I have been through. He is a giving God, and what we ask of him in his name we shall recieve. I have been so blessed by the little things God has done even this week. He loves us so much that he hears our cries and answers. Even when we have no friends around, no family to call on, Jesus is always there no matter what. Good Q.

I turn to god for the simplest of things and the biggest of things. I think it pleases him to help us with every circumstance.
The psalmist wrote, "Be still, and know that I am God" (46:10). Paul exhorted the Philippians to "be anxious for nothing" (Phil. 4:6). And Peter instructed his readers to cast all their cares on God (1 Peter 5:7).
How can someone stop worrying and be "still"? Only through prayer and trust in the loving God (Phil. 4:6-7). Those who cast their cares on Him can set aside the noise and confusion, ambitions and strivings, and enter into the peace of God (v.7).
This doesn’t mean that those who are "still" before the Lord will escape life’s dangers and dilemmas, but it does mean they will have the ability to live with tranquility in the midst of them.

Praise be to Allaah.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad): Praise and thanks be to Allaah, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allaah better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?” (Of course, Allaah is Better).
Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!
Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? Nay, but most of them know not!
Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? Little is that you remember!
Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? High Exalted be Allaah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!
Is not He (better than your so‑called gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? Say: ‘Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful’”

I strive to turn to God immediately, but if I'm being 100% real with myself, I don't do this every time. Sometimes I have to fall on my face trying to take care of things MY WAY before I stop and say to myself "Duh, stop trying to be in control all the time, that's God's job!"

I meditate in times of distress, examining the root of the "distress" to ensure I'm perceiving things correctly or not.
