Is this a trick question somehow to make the concept of sin look stupid? appropriating anything that is not yours, is stealing. stealing, other things being equal (i.e. you are not stealing in order to stop a terrorist plot, or to feed a starving child) stealing is a sin.

I wouldn't call it a sin. But if you get a computer virus from surfing on an non-secure connection like that it could be considered karma.

i mean, if the guy isnt smart enough to protect it, not to mention u can run multiple computers off of wireless and have no speed decrease.... your not really affecting him one way or another... *shrug*

Technically, it is a crime. Whether or not it is a "sin" depends on your definition of sin.
