I have a Question I take care of a 4 year old little girl she just spent 2 weeks with her fathers Mother?

As her father is in jail for theft of property, Drugs, Failure to pay fine and all sorts of other things. But this little 4 year old lives at my sons house with my sons sister in law. And all of a sudden she is cussing her mother, me, and any other adults she is around that she hates her mother wishes she was dead. Threw a butter knife at her Tuesday morning asked my 8 year old grandson if she stabbed him with a Knife if he would Die So she can watch Him Flop around Because it would be Neat. And yesterday she was upstairs was stomping my granddaughters dolls and telling it die bit** die. Asked my 3 year old grandaughter if she Knocked her down the stairs if she would die. I made her come downstairs and would not even let her play with the Kids. My sister was watching them for a few minutes and she untied her shoe she told my sister to tie it or DIE. We are at wits end my grandchildren are scared to death of her Even her own mother told me she is scared to go to sleep with the child .

We don't know if it is a chemical imbalance in her brain or just what is going on yes she has been a handful in the past but to just start yelling at me I don't hit her if she is bad she has time out on the couch until she says she is sorry or remembers why she was in trouble about 10 to 15 minutes then let her go try again if she is still misbehaving then we try the corner for a few. But this past 4 days have been a nightmare with the child wanting to kill things or asking people if i stick a Knife in you or told her mother if I cut your throat would you die so I can watch. I know this is not normal from any child. It scares me as to what she might do to one of the other children Is there some place we could take her to get her tested for Chemical imbalance or to see what is going on.

clearly the little girl is just reaching out for attention, meaning that she knows when she says those bad things she gets a reaction from you by putting her in time out and right now she is looking to receive any attention even negative. I honestly think you should take her to a psychologist and then he could analyze her and the situation and figure out if it;s something she learned or something that a pediatrician neds to look at

COUNCILING! Wow, that sounds very much so a bad deal. If you get her to a phsychologist, they have test they can run to diagnose different behavior disorders, while they may be able to pinpoint what type of disorder she has, if she has one. The test are generally questionaires, little games they play with the child, ect. nothing like the wires and stuff like on movies...
Getting her there and diagnosed is the first step, than they can apply an appropriate treatment for her, whether it be medications and / or just changing your response to her behavior. Letting this kind of behavior carry on though can be harmful to the child or anyone one around her.
Dont waste anytime, behavioral disorders can take years to nip in the bottom, and the sooner it is diagnosed, the better for everyone. Left untreated it will only get worse....

You ought to try to ask her where she heard about dying and all the horrible things she is talking about. My guess is she heard someone saying things like this and doesn't really understand what death is. I mean she is 4. She would however know what stabbing and the like means, and that is something you should fear. You should get into counseling ASAP.

PS: if those ideas came from her fathers mother, you need to go to family court to deny her any visitation with the child.

If I were you, I would be just as concerned as you are(maybe more). This poor little child needs help desperately. I, personally, think you should start by taking her to a pediatrician and check her for any physical problems. My next step would be to take her to a psychologist who specializes in children and ask for testing and a diagnosis. After that, you should go along with whatever program they recommend.
I am so sorry that such a little child is having such serious problems. Please get her help as soon as possible.
