I had a pickup truck that I was still making payments on it. A guy whom I met throught the Internet offered me a deal, he said he would take over the payments and offered me some cash in advance. He took the car. For the first days everything went smoothly, he called me to verify he got insurance for the car, and so on. But when the payment was due, the guy dissapeared, I cant find him, he is not answering the phone, and I visited his house and looks like he just left. The house is empty. What should I do???

You might be in a world of hurt here. Technically the car is stolen and you can report it to the police. However, when your bank finds out that you effectively sold a car that they own without the proper paperwork, they are likely to not be particular pleased. I would expect them to call the loan and/or repo the car for being in breach of your financing contract.

You have a stolen car. Report it to the police and the insurance company.
Next time don't be so stupid.

report it stolen and tell the truth to the police and insurance agent. forget the lender they dont matter they'll get their money.no matter if the vehicle is stolen, not stolen, repo'd, resold. they will get whatever they are owed from you, from another car deal.

if the car is still under your name, then technically it is still yours...you can call the cops and your lender and report it stolen. if you still have insurance on it, you should report it to them too..

If he has the title, you're screwed. If the lender still has it I'd report it stolen.
