If you've already paid everything off, then you should make SMALL charges on ONE credit card and pay it in FULL every month, ON TIME. That is the single most important thing that will help you.

Also, the accounts that you paid off will still show delinquent payments and negative information for 7 years, but it will hurt your score less as the information gets older. As long as you keep paying your bills on time, your credit will slowly climb as the negative information is replaced by positive information.

DO NOT close your old accounts though, because this shortens your credit history and can actually drop your score. Just dedicate yourself to a single card and pay on it religiously each month.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
FREEDOM!!!

Where you go from here is never worry about your credit or credit score again. You just climbed out of the debt hole. Please do not go back in that hole. If you are debt free then you should have released a ton of income to complete your budget. If you plan your budget than you can plan and save for all your expenses even your cars. You won't have need for credit or credit cards. I know I am doing it right now. If you don't already have a house by the time that you are ready to buy one your history should have cleared up and you will be living proof that you are ready for a mortgage.

Without any payments you can save for retirement and build up your net worth. The number one wealth building asset that you have is your income. You can live your life instead of living to keep track of your accounts and payments. Go enjoy life knowing that you don't owe anyone anything and that no one can take anything from you.

Go invest what you have been spending in payments and get stinking rich. Then give a whole bunch of it away. Wouldn't that be awesome.
Good Luck living the debt free dream

I have been to "many" different credit repair sites on the web. Some were pretty good and some were pretty bad. I refuse to use a websitemy rights and using them.Don't pay for information that you can find for free.

get a small credit card - make a purchase and pay it off.

This will show you are responsible.

Unfortuantly it is not quick but there isnt much else you can do.
