Absolutely. It's merely a reflection of their inner life/emotions. In the same vein, an individual who is a thief is more concerned about being stolen from. One who cheats on a partner is more apt to accuse the partner of cheating. Might as well hold up a mirror....

Judging someone and proclaiming the word of God to them are two different things. You can state that those who do not have the saving graces of the savior are going to hell or those who haven't received forgiveness for their sins will end up in hell with out judging that person, you are only relating a fact to them. It becomes a very charged subject then when they feel that you are judging them just as Nephi said the wicked take the words of the savior hard. However I never tell someone they will end up in hell. I just tell them what the savior has released in his words. We will be judged by his words that are written. I will not judge anyone it is for themselves and Jesus to judge their own behavior.
At some point, some of the leaders of the church are held accountable by the Lord as to the judgment of belonging to the church and disciplinary action if any that needs taken within the church system, however that is still not true judgment as that person has a opportunity for repentance with the church. And a final appeal to the Lord upon Judgment I am sure. Just as Jesus is the only one who knows the heart he is the only one who can testify to God on our behalf.

More now then before, we live in a world of victimization, in that everyone wants to be a victim. Seriously, If I feel that I have victimized in the slightest then that means I deserve (if not have the right) for compensation. Look at the lawyer with the pants, He wants several million dollars for a pair of pants that costs $200 at most, that was lost and eventual returned to him.
Many see that if we are a victim even in the slightest we can gain substantially, of course someone else is going to pay for it.
Forgiveness has a totally new meaning today, it not only means turn the other cheek, but it also means not suing someone over a petty difference.

As humans we have a need to "compartmentalize" things. We have to have everything in it's place in order to feel safe, secure and confident about ourselves.
Whether it's wrong or right, well, we can judge all we want, but in the end it doesn't matter what we call the actions of others. We should be worrying about ourselves.

It all boils down to being able to forgive. Holding grudges and being judgemental do not really help us in the long run. When we can let it go, release the hurt and allow others to be forgiven, we in the end are the ones that benefit from that.

I haven't thought about it. What I have noticed is that those who feel judged are also feeling guilty about whatever it is that they're feeling judged about. So they know that whatever it is, is wrong, but they don't want it to be wrong so they get defensive and claim that they are being judged (usually by someone they feel shouldn't judge them).
I'll have to think about your the whole feel judged~more judgemental thing.

I've noticed the same thing...
I have a brother.....
He gets mad when people say they don't like him (because of the demographic group he's in), but you would NOT believe the catty things he's said to me!!!!
