I believe in Micro-evolution. It cannot be denied that there is change over time within a species. We can see it in humans as well as animals and even plants. This is documented fact.

However, there is no documented fact supporting Macro-evolution (one species evolving into another species). This is merely theory based on man's observation and imagination.

The beginning of Macro-evolution is a form of spontaneous generation. For Marco-evolution to be true, the first something (whatever it was) had to come from nothing with no outside force acting on it. A statistical look at this shows that there is a 0.0000% chance of this occuring with a margin of error of 0.000.

Put more concretely, it is increably unlikely (a statistician would say impossible) that the universe was filled with nothing which at some point in time burped and form matter. That matter which was probably spread out over the universe (we know that atoms are the basis of matter and that in its gaseous state expands to fill the entire space available) just happened to bump together in just the right way to form larger particles of matter and eventually life. Of course, this is assuming that this matter that was burped into existance from nothing possessed some form of energy and was in motion. But then again, it had to be in motion because we now know how the universe was formed - matter broke off of spinning matter. (yes, I am being somewhat sarcastic at this point. I'm trying to show how what science has declared to be fact is based on presupposition, not imperical data).

To believe this, no matter what evolutionists or scientists say, requires faith. It requires faith in man's ability to answer every question and faith in "nature" to overcome the laws that govern it.

I'm sure that, by now, you have guessed that I believe in creation. The statistical likelihood of creation is, to be perfectly honest, about the same as evolution. However, it is more believable that God created all matter and formed it into the world we know than to believe that absolutely nothing burped, rippled, spun, jumped, sat up, or did anything else.

NO.. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION...THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC PROOF, JUST A THEORY THAT THERE EVEN WAS EVOLUTION. THERE IS ADAPTAITON WHICH WOULD BE PART OF INTELLEGENT DESIGN, BUT THATS IT. A GREAT EXAMPLE WAS OF A SCIENTIST WHO USED HIS SON AND A CHIMP TO DRAW A PICTURE. THE CHIMPS IQ WAS WAY ABOVE WHAT HIS LITTLE BOY WAS, AS FOR AS BRAIN MASS AS WELL. THE KID DREW A NICE PICTURE OF THE OUTSIDE LANDSCAPE WITH A SON CLOUDS BIRDS AND THE MONKEY WAS ONLY ABLE TO DRAW A COUPLE OF SQUIBBLE LINES. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAME ABOUT WAS THERE WERE SOME SIMILIAR BONE STRUCUTURES THE SAME AS MONKEYS AND SOME SCIENTIST CREATE PUZZLE PIECES THAT WILL FIT, BUT NECESSARILY DOESN'T BELONG TO THAT PUZZLE IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE AT ALL. THERE IS A SITE CALLED EXPLORATIONS VIDEOS AND THERE ARE A SET OF dvd THAT MANY SCIENTIST HAVE PUT TOGETHER THAT SHOW ANIMALS THAT DISPROVE EVOLUTION. ALSO THERE ARE STILL MONKEYS AROUND, SO WHY DIDN'T THE OTHER MONKEYS EVOVLE???? ALSO , WHY ARE ALL THE PEOPLE THAT ARE ATHEIST SO HATEFUL? I AM A BIOCHEMISTRY MAJOR AND I STILL DON'T BELIEVE IN IT...SO ACCORDING TO THOSE WHO DOESN'T THINK THAT US THAT BELIEVE IN CREATION ARE UNEDUCATED...MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO MORE RESEARCH AND QUITE BEING SO CONDENSENDING....BECAUSE I BET WHEN EVERYBODY IS 80 AND ON THEIR DEATH BED THEY ARE GOING TO BE PRAYING THAT THERE IS A GOD.

PLUS ALBERT EINSTEIN BELIEVED IN CREATION AND GOD, AND HE WAS THE SMARTEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED AND ONE OF THE GREATEST SCIENTIST OF TIME. EVOLUTION IS A SCIENTIFIC THEORY NOT FACT

Absolutely- aside from the extensive research carried out which lends weight to the theory, there are examples in nature of the 'survival of the fittest' rule at work...
In Russia there was a case of a butterfly that came in both black and white. The forest they lived in had trees with light coloured bark, so the white ones were better camouflaged, and tended to survive and procreate. After an industrial site opened nearby, many areas of the forest got covered in ash from this site, and a rise in the number of black butterflys was noted, as they became the best camouflaged. On a longer timescale attributes would be able to develop further.

There are two major problems that face evolution:
1. There isn't enough time for the small rodent like mammals left after the last extinguishing event to bring them to the size and variety of the mammals the roamed the earth during the last major ice age.
2. Viruses have been known to man for approximately the last 200 years. During that time there have been billions of generations, yet never has a virus jumped species. Yes the have varied but they remain viruses.. IHS Jim

The very fact that Americans are taller, healthier and live longer than their counterparts from a 100 years ago speaks volumes, wouldn't you say?

Then there's social evolution: women are no longer relegated to the kitchen, people of color are no longer in cotton fields, handicapped individuals are no longer hidden from society, etc.

Evolution is real, just as de-evolution is. The latter, however, is almost always initiated by mankind.

I don't. and I dont care how many low raring answers I get for this. I dont buy for one second that we came from monkeys or anything. I believe God spoke us into existence. Do you think that we are all here be chance or that a dot grew and grew and greew and turned into all this. How did the dot get there. It didnt just appear out of thin air. How do you explain conscience or that we aren't still evolving today. I belive the earth is no older than 30,000 years old. I believe that we evolved from nothing. I am a creationist and any of you who believe in evolution are liars and decievers and just outright cowards. You dont want to admit that you are accountable for your actions and that there is a God and that he loves you.

I don't believe in evolution, I KNOW that evolution explains the history of life on Earth better than any other explaination.

Belief does not change reality, just your perception of it. I accept that evolution happened and is happening. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence for it, but if enough contradictory evidence was found, verified and a new model was put forth, I'd accept it based on it's merits.

Evolution has been proven false (is only a theory). Evolution can be divided into two parts, macro and micro. Micro evolution is a fact, where as macro evolution remains a theory due to debates on the exact steps of the evolutionary process. EVOLUTION DID HAPPEN we simply can’t trace the exact evolutionary steps of the of the 3 trillion plus species on earth. Considering there is no way that we can even prove if we have located all the species on earth, this may always remain a theory. We can prove though, beyond a doubt, that humans have evolved. We can trace it back conclusively 3.6 million years. 97% of all scientists accept evolution (so does the Catholic Church). Christians have spread lies about this excessively, they especially like to say evolution preaches that Humans evolved from monkeys. Evolution does not state that humans evolved from monkeys, that idea is completely absurd. Science states that monkeys and humans evolved from a shared forefather and are hence relatives, (all primates are) but we are in no way direct descendants of them.

"Today, the theory of evolution is an accepted fact for everyone but a fundamentalist minority, whose objections are based not on reasoning but on doctrinaire adherence to religious principles."--James Watson, Nobel Prize-winning biologist and co-discoverer of DNA's structure.
