I see it as praying ceaselessly to G-d by praising Him, thanking Him, confessing to Him, and asking Him for help.

Praying ceaselessly is not easy to do (I think). How do you all see this subject?

First off to pray without ceasing simply means that in all things be in prayer. Ask the Lord what you should buy were you should go what you should do how you should respond to questions, so on and so forth. It is a call for intimacy with Him. Those that would say to you to disregard the Word of God and the Bible like many I have seen posting around here have no knowledge of truth, for if they saw the deep chasm between them and the their Father which is in heaven they would run to Him as I did when I found the Lord. I don't say this to in any way damn others but to encourage you to seek wise counsel as the Word instructs us.

The bible "ceaselessly" means to not forsake the practice of praying, not to pray continuously.

I think God needs to be on your mind. I pray (talk to God) many times throughout the day when I think of something or someone or a circumstance. I believe that is praying without ceasing. I am not, however, on my knees crying out to God all day all night like some people think pray without ceasing means.

Pray when ever you can, i often thank the lord when I get up, it doesn't mean you have to be in a certain position and praying 24/7/365, just pray .

To pray ceaselessly, means to consistently bring our cares to God in prayer, even when we begin to grow tired and may not think that God is answering our prayers or even interested in the smallest thing that is a concern to us.

Obvioulsly it is physically impossible to be in continual prayer 24/7 and cannot be done by any man, so what the bible is referring to here is an attitude of prayer and fellowship with God.

Jesus used this example when he said that we should ask and keep asking (in prayer), knock and keep knocking (again prayer) and God will reward us for our faithfulness to seek Him regarding our concerns according to His will. Why? Because we know that if He hears us, we have the things that we've asked for according to His will, which is biblical.

To add a personal touch, I don't always "feel" like praying or seeking God but the Christian walk and prayer are not based on obedience through feelings. For instance sometimes when I get frustrated the first thing I want to do is to try to figure out a solution on my own instead of asking God through prayer to work in that specific situation. However, God wants obedience...He wants us to bring all our cares to Him, because He cares for us. Regardless of how little or small the matter may be.

Also remember that there are three types of prayer: Thanksgiving, supplication, and intercession.

Thanksgiving is telling God (through prayer) how thankful we are that He is our God, Jesus is our friend, and the Holy Spirit is here to guide us. So often we Christians avoid going to God and thanking Him for everything that He has provided for us which can be as simple as providing our every breath, a place to live, warm food, and the other daily blessings.

Intercession is asking prayer on behalf of someone else, which is important for every Christian to pray for the needs of others as well as our own. I often am not as consistent with intercession as I'd like to be but I try my best to not only ask for myself. Why? Because if one member of the body hurts, all the members hurt with it so we are to pray for our brothers/sisters in the Lord and their needs.

Supplication is asking God for our needs, wants, and desires. This is the type of prayer that most Christians ask because it is a selfish type of prayer since it usually gets us what we want when answered in the affirmative.

The point is, we should always pray about everything and not lose heart when God takes longer to answer our prayers according to His will and not what we think is what we need.

Again, God bless you!

Persevere in all situtations and try not to let the enemy discourage you. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. God bless you!

I hear that as praying without ceasing, praying without stopping, its not saying that you have to pray 24/7 without taking a breath it is saying to stay in communication with God, to continue to talk to Him everyday. It's not hard for me, its like to talking to a friend everyday. He's always listening.

You got it right. The without ceasing is thinking praying meditating on HIM all the time. Keeping HIM foremost in your actions, decisions, the words of your mouth, praying and ackowleding HIM in all ways.

Walking in the Spirit is communicating with God in all that we do daily. I try hard to confront God before making any decision. The Holy Spirit is wonderful in bringing Scripture to my mind when I need it.

I see it like this: every event in every day is a chance to pray. Communication with God is prayer.

I believe it is similar to the experience written in the bible about Enoch. Enoch walked with God. We too should live our daily lives walking by faith with God as we would a close friend.
